Before Tinder, before social media and before Internet dating sites, back in the old days, we used to the following to determine if we were compatible with a young (or not) lady:

 

It's an app that you upload up to 5 pictures (typically through Facebook) and it uses your location to find only people that meet your filters (male/female, age, etc..) that are nearby. You then look through their pictures to determine if they interest you or not. You have to say yes or no, no skipping. If you say yes and they say no when they get to your picture, you would never know as life just goes on. But if you both say yes to each other, it lets you know you "matched". You can then message them if you choose.

 

It's one of the most shallow apps ever IMO.

My wife's is actually Sheila, but I'm pretty sure another poster's wife spells hers the way Godot mentioned.
