April 10, 201412 yr Were the primary tasks of Antigua and Strickland recruiting or coaching? In all honesty, I never did really know what Rod did. Rod was a special assistant to the head coach. Not sure if he ended up in that role after the DUI's or what. I have been thinking about it and there's a chance that position doesn't end up being filled since it's not an actual position on the "coaching staff". He could bring someone else in the special assistant role though. As for O, definitely recruiting. Coach O is one of the best in all of the land so it will sting to lose him. He was definitely the setup man for UK, always formed great relationships with the kids.
April 10, 201412 yr I'm sure he is referring to Camby. I'm assuming Camby? Can't be. Camby was 6'11". Marcus Camby Stats, Bio - ESPN

April 11, 201412 yr I think Allen Edwards does a great job as an assistant coach too. Where is he at now? I know a few years ago, he was at Towson. Met him while I was out there for work. Nice guy.
April 11, 201412 yr Scott Padgett, Tony Delk, Wayne Turner, Tony Barbee, Darrin Horn...all names to consider. Any of them coaching anywhere now?
April 11, 201412 yr Any of them coaching anywhere now? Padgett is an assistant (I believe at Samford). Allen Edwards is an assistant at Wyoming. I don't believe Delk or Turner are coaching right now. Barbee was just fired at Auburn. Horn hasn't coached since USC but I saw his name in the running at another job recently.

April 13, 201412 yr @MattSteinbrink · 2h It sounds like Barry Rohrssen will be heading to Kentucky to fill Orlando Antigua's spot.
April 13, 201412 yr @MattSteinbrink · 2h It sounds like Barry Rohrssen will be heading to Kentucky to fill Orlando Antigua's spot. Slice is a guy that can land elite talent. He is also a guy that has a reputation for getting there in ways that aren't always above board. Obviously less need to work in the grey area at UK, but his history is what it is. If he gets the job add Moustapha Herron to the 2016 recruiting board. Pitt commit to Slice based on a long history with his dad playing in Europe together...
