March 29, 201412 yr IF Dayton makes it that far we might as well start looking for Getslow's next liver now. If UD makes it through Florida and likely Michigan State, then you BBN boys had better just go ahead and pack it in. Don't bother making the trip to Dallas because there are forces at work far beyond our understanding. Personally, I think Dayton's pep band leader might be a real wizard. Flubber on the bottom of the shoes is also a distinct possibility.
March 29, 201412 yr Neat story on Sports center from E60 now about Marley the blind girl that sings at UK games.
March 29, 201412 yr MVP of the game was Dominique Hawkins. He flat out got after it on defense and really disrupted UL's guard play. So much better than Polson and will be taking his minutes going forward IMO. Agree and should have been playing more over Polson the whole season

March 29, 201412 yr Neat story on Sports center from E60 now about Marley the blind girl that sings at UK games. That was a cool story for them to do...Bravo ESPN!
March 29, 201412 yr She sang at the Boys Sweet 16 too. Killed it. She is so good!!!! Plus UK is 4-0 when she sings.
March 29, 201412 yr She is so good!!!! Plus UK is 4-0 when she sings. Her performance received the loudest ovation of them all in the Wednesday through Saturday sessions.
March 29, 201412 yr Thrilled for the Harrisons. Love Dakari's post game. If we could bottle the AP performance from the 4:30 mark til the end he'd be an All-American. Blocked a Russdiculous shot. Stripped Hancock and caused a TO. Huge on the offensive glass for a stickback. Drove LIKE A MAN to the rim where Harrell fouled out. HUGE! I love Dakari. I think he actually runs the floor pretty well. He just needs to work on getting quicker feet in the post, and on defense, and could use some better hands. I'm sure dropping a few pounds could go a long way in improving his game. He reminds me a lot of Nazr at that age.

Huge on the offensive glass for a stickback. Drove LIKE A MAN to the rim where Harrell fouled out. HUGE! If he can find a consistent motor next year, he could be one of the most dominant players in the country. And I chalk it up to the fact that players mature at their own rate.
March 29, 201412 yr Officiating was horrendous last night, no consistency at all. I decided to look back at who the refs were. This DeRosa guy has only worked 18 games in his career and 5 this year. How in the heck do you have a guy who only reffed 5 games this year, ref a sweet 16 game? That blows my mind.
March 29, 201412 yr If Dakari comes back next season, and I have no reason to think he won't, he could be an All-American if he puts in the work in the offseason. He's a legit 5 man who has some real post moves. Needs to improve his quickness, and his footwork a bit, but man he's got some offensive skills. The other thing I really love about Dakari is he seems to have the "leadership" trait that you can't teach.

The way he shows his emotions and overall positivity no matter how bad things get is awesome. Hes one of those guys that knows what UK basketball is and also doesn't act above the program as some kids do occasionally.
March 29, 201412 yr Hence the reason I said "I know you are joking". Not going to argue with you. Just thought it was an innocent joke and nothing to worry about.
March 29, 201412 yr Rewatched this one just now. Three plays by UK stand out: 1) Dakari's and-1 coming right off the heels of a Hancock 3 that had given UL a 59-52 lead. 2) The Poythress and-1 that tied the game. There was a missed shot and Poythress knocked the ball loose on the rebound and then he put back Randle's miss. Draws the foul, hits the free toss, and we're tied at 66. 3) Obviously, Aaron Harrison's corner 3 was huge and it came right after Greg Anthony had said Russ Smith has the shortest memory in college basketball. Smith had hit the jumper to give UL a 68-67 lead. Aaron had a poor shooting game until then and the trey proved the same that was true for Russ was also true for him. Those along with Julius getting up on Smith's shot at the end. Smith, being small had to shoot over a 6'9" defender who had gotten good position and with his hands up.
