Some thoughts -

1) Wow, what a game. Lost at least another 5 years off my life. When Aaron hit that triple I lost it.

2) Poythress was awesome down the stretch, Dakari played a career game, but I think Hawkins deserves some credit too. Guy gave them quality minutes, zero turnovers, and played hard D.

3) Awful feeling about WCS' ankle. Best case scenario IMO is he's able to maybe give it a go if they make it to Dallas.

4) Sad to see Russ Smith go from UofL. Love the fact that the Cats won't have to deal with him anymore, but guy was fun to watch. He's also all class. Not only did he go to the UK locker room to congratulate the players, you all should check out his postgame comments, specifically about Kentucky. That's a kid that "gets it". I'm a Kentucky fan, and I'm proud of the way Russ represented the state these past 4 years.

Twitter reaction from #BBN and beyond | UK News, Recruiting | Kentucky.com

UK frosh have grown up right before our eyes. After the loss to South Carolina, many - including me - didn't see this coming.

I wouldn't have given a nickel for their chances for this kind of post season run after the late season Arkansas loss at Rupp and the loss at South Carolina. I had lost all faith in them. I feel particularly remorseful that I placed most of the blame for their bad play on the shoulders of the Harrison twins. I still feel that their inconsistent guard play was much of the problem, but I was too impatient and failed to realize that not all 5 star players progress at the same speed. MKG, Anthony Davis and John Wall are not the norm.

With that said I want to congratulate this young team on their competitive never quit spirit in this NCAA tournament. I watched the game at our golf course clubhouse with about 40 others and the place was loud and crazy. I've never seen so many happy people going berserk at the end of a game.

I hope that Willie's injury is not a season-ending type. The Cats really need his rim protecting ability.

Kyle Wiltjer just found out UK got an 8 seed

Where did he end of transferring?

Jerry Tipton (the real one) reporting that Russ Smith went to the UK locker room & congratulated the UK players.

Dang it. Kid makes it really hard to not like him.

Hey Randy, what did I say about this UK team at the beginning of the year?

TELL ME WHAT I SAID!

Anyone know when/if they're going to replay this one? Need to DVR it.

He can start with his coach

Holster your weapon, soldier.

Battle's over.

You won.
