Don't be so quick. Collins has yet to prove they will stay an annual power upon losing a very talented class of 3 year starters and Johnson Central could certainly make some noise now.

The post also stated that it was in part tongue in cheek because the post it was replying to made it sound as if CCH was something special and Dixie was actually to be commended for taking on the best teams in the state when in reality CCH shouldn't even be put in that category. HHS yes, CCH not so much. CCH was simply riding on HHS coattails in that comment. CCH may want to win their district once before being considered a top team in the state.

 

The point was clear bit then again, some people are so biased toward CCH that they refuse to admit that CCH isn't even isnt even at the same level as BG and HHS. power ratings, what are the power ratings?

 

You still refused to answer the questions again. Your bias toward anything CCH is blinding you and keeping you from using common sense in this.

 

Again, when was the last time CCH beat HHS in football? When was the last time CCH made it to regional finals with HHS in their same class? When was the last time CCH won anything with HHS in the same class?

 

That is why even mentioning CCH as a perenial state chamionship title threat is a joke. They aren't.

 

Power rankings, lol. What round of the playoffs did CCH make it to the last couple years? That's what I thought. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the last state title CCH won was in 2006 right? Thatt doesn't sound like in the same level as HHS or BG who have both won multiple titles since then, a combined 9 titles to be exact.

 

Try using common sense instead of a warped bias and you will see that no one truly thinks CCH will win state next year or the year after etc. they won't make it past the NKY teams in the playoffs so maybe they should work on that first before thinking they are the favorite to win state.

CCH still is just like every other team in NKY who is looking up at HHS, which is why I said saying Dixie is commended for moving down to HHS and CCH is funny, CCH shouldn't even be in that sentence, they haven't done anything to be considered one of the best. I'm not a CCH hater as you think I am, I'm just realistic.

Or give CCH and HHS credit for moving to a district that has Dixie.

 

Sorry, that was a bit tongue in cheek, but what has CCH done to deserve to continually be put on a pedestal as if they are one of the states top teams? I brought that up last year also and never got a good answer. CCH lost to Conner 2 years ago, almost lost to a bad Ryle team last year. The praise that gets reaped on them is a little over the top sometimes.

 

Well they are usually ranked pretty high and they usually fair well in games against teams that don't have Highlands on their chest. Historically, CCH is a top program. You are correct in that CCH has seemingly been playing second fiddle to HHS for a while.

Again, never said they didn't have a nice history, just asking when the last time they beat Highlands when they were in the same district? Hasn't happened since my oldest was in High school and now is out of college and married. It's not like it's a normal thing to consider them a favorite in 5A. I'd think BG and HHS has that pretty well wrapped up for the time being.

 

Let them beat HHS and win another title and we can think about them as one of the perennial powers to battle for state titles on a regular basis.

Point of clarification - Beechwood has 11 titles.

Good point, another one is that everyone on the list started state titles in 1959, if they were around. Before that it was claim them if you want them as there were multiple organizations tracking their own state champion listings.

Whether or not Collins stays a annual power, teams like John Hardin, Warren Central, Franklin County, etc. will make the west side stronger than the east side.

Stronger overall than before. As shown last year, there only needs to be one strong team. Maybe Johnson Central will be that team for the East.
