I'm okay with travel as that has happened with virtually every US presidency and their respective families. My only issue with it is when it becomes excessive or unreasonable to the point they are abusing the privileges they have.

I think it is to the point of abusing it. Getting it all while the getting is good.

I say the money "wasted" on this trip is probably less than the money wasted every minute (dare I say second) by the daily activities of the federal government.

Very true. I tend to gloss over most of it myself unless something seems way out of line. What you said also applies to a myriad of other things as well.... a crime I'm sure we all are guilty of at some point in our lives.

I have no issue with it, or with any first lady and the first family going off to another country to promote whatever good causes they support as well as friendship! She is correct, any relationship between countries is between the peoples, not the governments!

 

When the World Choir Games came to Cincy two summers ago, the largest number of choirs came from China, over 40 choirs, if I'm not mistaken, from all over China, they had only great things to say about the area, the people, and hospitality. And I am sure if anyone has visited China, they will tell you about the culture, as well as the nice Chinese people they met.

What the writer fails to supply are the monies paid by the Bushes for many of their trips. It's all there to see in the GAO. The Obamas have used tax dollars for every trip.....posh trips right down to flying on separate planes
