March 20, 201412 yr I dont agree with any of it, be it Bush, Clinton, Obama. Here is my point. The First lady aint got a job, why does she feel the need to travel so much and lolly gag around the world on a "SO CALLED GOOD WILL MISSION". Let her be like a normal person and vacation 1 or 2 times a year. None of them know what its like to have to want for something or sacrifice stuff for kids. Fair enough. Remember though, the Presidents family are not normal people. Highly public figures, highly scrutinized, often criticized (even hated). I know that's what they signed up for when they took the job. In reality, I doubt that even their vacations are true vacations. And while somewhat ceremonial, the role of the first lady is important, and virtually all of them for the last century have championed and promoted worthy causes.

Agree for sure on the wars. Anyone that knows me knows that's my overarching issue. Colossal waste of lives and resources.

The broad generalization that is continually painted across all Dem's is really getting boring. Every first Lady travels. And when they do, the Secret Service travels with them. And they fly on Government planes, flown by Government Pilots. Which are all paid for by taxpayers. The Obama's could find a cure for cancer, but then they'd get blamed for putting cancer specialists out of work. I've used that line before. :lol2:

For all those complaining about the Obamas travel itinerary and how much it costs.....none of you would travel at all if you were the First Family? You'd all stay in the White House the whole term and never go anywhere? I would. mountain ref would start a new thread about my travels monthly because every month we'd be somewhere new. Word up. March 26, 201412 yr Who cares? There are 100s of things going on in this country, shoot even by this administration, to get upset about. This ain't one of them. Why can't they go on 1-2 vacations a year like normal people? Have you been living under a rock? Since when are President's and their families anything close to "normal"? If I'm not mistaken, President Bush (2) shattered the record for most vacation days by a President while in office. Never heard a peep about that. Gee, wonder why that is...:ohbrother: The First Lady could erase the national debt and Mtn Ref would complain about the way she went about it. He hates the woman, and there's nothing that will change that.
