My guess is the taxpayers have always paid the bill as these are seldom characterized as vacation trips. I'm fine if you want to rail against unneccessary spending but until we hold our own parties as accountable as we hold the opposition nothing is going to change in Washington. Waste is waste, and not all First Family travel is a waste.

I think it's ok for ALL presidents to be able to vacation where they are from, isn't it. And we aren't talking about vacations here, we are talking about First Lady's traveling abroad. And Laura made 5 expensive trips to Africa, and brought her daughters with her. And partook in a Safari on what was a "Goodwill" trip. But that's ok. It's ok to beat the administration up for what you consider unnecessary, expensive travel. But apply the criticism evenly. The Obama's didn't invent this and nor are the first president and first lady to take these trips. Don't vilify them while ignoring what happened in the past.

The First lady aint got a job, why does she feel the need to travel so much and lolly gag around the world on a "SO CALLED GOOD WILL MISSION". Let her be like a normal person and vacation 1 or 2 times a year. None of them know what its like to have to want for something or sacrifice stuff for kids.
