Jinx on Mentschie!

Nick Ruthsatz was REALLY good tonight. His passing was legit.

Easily the best player on the floor.

Bo Schuh was my player of the game tonight. Lots of KEY rebounds.

His offensive game was down a bit but, you're right, he was HUGE on the boards and defending at the rim.

Kid is a gamer. The stars aligned when Nick and Dad came on down.

This game was won in the first four minutes. CCH came out on all cylinders. Their interior passing was phenomenal, they controlled the boards and they shot lights out. By the time the Dawgs adjusted they were down 10-11. From there, you have to give Holmes a lot of credit, they just hung around until half. I thought they were fortunate to be only down 8. Hill kept the Dawgs in the game in the first half. Bolden only had 2. He was getting shots, but they weren't falling. The Colonels cooled down a little after the first 4 minutes.

The 3rd quarter was all Holmes as CCH just went cold and the Dawgs warmed up a little, although they never shot lights out. Holmes lead by 1 at the end of 3. Early in the 4th CCH took control again, but the Dawgs never gave up. It looked over, then uncharacteristically, CCH misses 3 of 4 free throws and Bolden rips a couple of 3's and with about 25 seconds left the Dawgs are down 2 or 3 and it seemed possible again.

Holmes just didn't shoot it well and that was the difference for the game. I know there will be some that thought the officiating was questionable, because there always are some that think that. Not tonight IMO, they did a very good job.

Pretty classic 35th district classic game. Congrats to CCH, I hope they represent the 9th well, which I think they will. The Colonels were the better team tonight and deserve the Rupp dance.

Good season for the Dawgs, always tough to lose this game. In teh last ten years they have gotten their share, just wasn't to be tonight.

I thought Coach Booher and his staff got A LOT out of this team.

Congrats to the Colonels on one hell of a tourney and good luck at Rupp.

The Dawgs have nothing to be ashamed of, yet another great season and nice run in the tourney.

I agree on congrats to CovCath.

But any team that shoots 3/27 from 3 should be embarrassed IMO. Holmes wasn't making anything passed the foul line but kept jacking them up even though they were having success scoring in the middle of the zone.

Again, congrats to the CovCath team and fans.

Embarrassing that Chames was not on the all tourney team.

Cov Cath is the better team. Very sound fundamentally. Very seldom do they take a bad shot. Great defense. Good rebounding.

Credit Coach Ruthsatz on an excellent game plan. They dared Holmes to work the ball inside and the Holmes guards kept taking contested shots. Holmes could have taken an open 6-8 footer in the paint almost every possession if they would have been patient and worked it. I would have flashed Bolden from the weak side wing to the foul line. Get him the ball in the middle and let him work from there. Instead, it was watch James dribble on the perimeter with three guys on him then take a contested 3 or try to drive it into the zone with it collapsing on him. Bolden forced too much and didn't take what CCH was giving. They made sure Bolden got no good looks from three. They didn't care if any of the other Holmes guards shot the three. Very, very good defensive game plan and execution by CCH.

Fun game and great crowd.

Cov cath got a gift tonight nick pushes off every play and they called it one time I hope they get blown out down state. Great present for them
