I would agree if it weren't for Mark the Shark. Both have improved immensely. Congrats to both for being patient and putting in the required work.

Haven't read this thread too busy smiling from ear to ear.

Which Dog would you have put him in front of?

I don't want to take away from other players named to the team, but it wouldn't have been another Bulldog he should have replaced. Let's leave it at that.

Cov cath got a gift tonight nick pushes off every play and they called it one time I hope they get blown out down state. Great present for them

Somethings are better left unsaid. :isurrender:

As a NewCath fan, I'm disappointed my Breds lost, but I'll be damned if I would wish my 9th Region "fish-eating" brethren such ill-will. Sad, completely sad.

Embarrassing that Chames was not on the all tourney team.

Cov Cath is the better team. Very sound fundamentally. Very seldom do they take a bad shot. Great defense. Good rebounding.

Credit Coach Ruthsatz on an excellent game plan. They dared Holmes to work the ball inside and the Holmes guards kept taking contested shots. Holmes could have taken an open 6-8 footer in the paint almost every possession if they would have been patient and worked it. I would have flashed Bolden from the weak side wing to the foul line. Get him the ball in the middle and let him work from there. Instead, it was watch James dribble on the perimeter with three guys on him then take a contested 3 or try to drive it into the zone with it collapsing on him. Bolden forced too much and didn't take what CCH was giving. They made sure Bolden got no good looks from three. They didn't care if any of the other Holmes guards shot the three. Very, very good defensive game plan and execution by CCH.

Fun game and great crowd.

Good points made, however, I don't think there is any way they would have let Bolden flash from the wing to the high post. Now they could have dumped inside to Hill all game from 8 feet and he did actually keep them in the game in first half, as you stated.

CCH's defense was outstanding, but really all season Bolden was the only consistent scorer Holmes had. Not an average shooting night for him.

You can't replace a player from any other team. First round losers get 1 player, second round losers get 2 players, runnerup gets 3 and champion gets 4.

Bolden flashed in there on one play and scored. But you are probably right, CCH would have adjusted. Still, I would have tried it more than once. Make them adjust and then you make your next move.

Bengal Maniac, it was great hanging with you and your lovely wife before the game. You win the "out-kicked" your coverage award. You're a real gentleman, glad we ran into you.

I wasn't aware of those guidelines. However, if that is true, runnerup Holmes only had 2 players make the team.

Congratulations to CovCath and all of their fans.
