China bound Jet Missing...239 on board

PM of Malaysia saying they are confident the plane going of course was intentional...really...really? We are sitting half a world away and we all pretty much figured that out in a day or so with just news reports...and it took these geniuses this long to figure it out.

Three different forms of communications were turned off at different times, that means it didn't blow up or crash. Either hijackers or possibly pilots decided to divert this plane to another location...I'm still betting it's in the ocean somewhere...just not sure which ocean.

That is a very interesting theory. One that would take terrific planning or great luck to accomplish.

Gonna be a Netflix movie in a few years.

Courtney Love thinks she may have found it.

Since no ransom has been forthcoming, that we know of, I am thinking the theory of using it as a flying bomb at some point in the future is a real possibility.

Oh absolutely.. Sadly they know it's an effective method now. That's more than half the reason I'm sure 12 diff countries are looking for it.

I'm with you in that this is a distinct possibility. Sadly, if you are correct, it likely means all of the passengers and crew were probably already executed.

This is a crazy story.

Oh my Courtney Love is on the case.

This is a crazy story.

Most likely 'put to (permanent) sleep' while in flight if this was rogue hijacking just for the jet. Simply reduce the oxygen while the the hijackers (or rogue crew) wear oxygen mask. On most red-eyes almost everyone is asleep an hour into the flight.

If this thing is in rogue hands someone needs to find it. It could reach the middle east or former Russian states just north. A 777 fully fueled and gutted to make room for more fuel or explosives could devastate a city. Imagine if the 9/11 planes had crashed into the base of the WTC and not just hit the top. It would have spread their fuel and wreckage at street level and the casualty total would have been much much higher. Tele Aviv, Moscow, etc. should be on a little higher alert if this is how this is playing out.

Hopefully no one has the world's largest suicide bomb or kamikaze jet.

Sadly, if you are correct, it likely means all of the passengers and crew were probably already executed.

I've been thinking this, as well.

Why does a pilot even have the option of turning off the radar that can track them?

Its 2014 and we cant find a plane, actually its 2014 and a LOT of countries together cant find this plane?
