Dayton had a kid named Jack Johnson in late 60s-early 70s maybe that might have led the Region in rebounding but not sure if he was any taller than 6'6".

Mike Vieth could be 7'0''. St. Henry had a pretty tall team while he was there, and very few of them even played (as I recall).

I knew he was close. Too bad he only weighed about 180. Lol

Rick Waller at Boone was 6'8" I believe. Thought the story was he wound up in prison somehow.

We still need Dayton, Bellevue, Newport, Campbell Co, Lloyd, Boone Co, Conner, St. Henry, Holy Cross, Scott, Silver Grove, Holmes, who was tallest at Cov. Grant?

Newport 6'7 Lewis from the 90s.

Dayton 6'6 Cline

Holmes 6'7 Noll

HC the kid last year 6'9

Eric Harold was only about 6'4" for Newport. They did have a kid about 6'7" I think named Jack Groves.

Newport 6'7 Lewis from the 90s.

Dayton 6'6 Cline

Holmes 6'7 Noll

HC the kid last year 6'9

Lloyd Jay Stenzel 6'7"

Boone Dave Dinn 6'6''

Walton Scott Benton 6'6''

CCH Sean Dineen 6'8''

How tall was Ben Coffman who played at Boone in early 80's? Maybe 6'8"

Stephen Mayes - Dixie 2003 - "Footer" - He was 7'0''. I think he played college ball at a Christian School somewhere in Northern Ohio.

Michael Vieth - St. Henry - early to mid 90's - played at NKU - if he's not 7'0'' he's close.

Jaime Eichorst - played at St. Henry with Vieth. Don't know exactly how tall he was, but he was a big boy.

Holy Cross had a guy that deserves some mention - I think it was a Volpenhein.

Stephen played at Mount Vernon Nazarene. I believe he let the nation (NAIA DII) in blocks one year while there but a quick Google search didn't turn up any records.

I think he is probably close to 6'6'', I was standing next to him last week at a game and I am 6'3''.

The CovCath team of 1967/1968 had UK/Marshall grad Randy Noll listed as 6'7" University of Tulsa grad Joe Voskuhl listed 6'8" and University of Dayton grad John VonLehman listed at 6"9".

Randy could dribble and could hit a jumper anytime he wanted from the corner, he wasn't big in bulk but man could he jump.

Joe was big, big enough that 1st year CovCath football coach Steve Rasso, begged Joe to play football.

John was as skinny as a rail that year but teams rarely saw a trio of the size of CovCath that could run and shoot like those three could.

That's the one. He was huge...

Purple Haynes was 6'4"ish. He had a load of potential, he finished at OBI. He had a huge dunk in the '89 final as a frosh.

Is there such a thing as a short Vieth?

I played with 6'10 white Manute Bol Brett Babin at Bellevue. He was a shot blocking fool I'm telling ya. He altered a ton as well. We made him wear elbow pads in practice because of all the shots we took to the chops. I have a pic of him when we played CovCath in the 87' Regional Tournament. I will post later.

Dixie had Stephen Mays who was 7'0.

I'm told CCH once had a 6'10 kid.

What year was Mays? I remember one or two pretty tall players on the '75 team.
