TOG, to be fair, no one in the building had a worse angle on that play than you. Panda was close, and we simply disagree, but your angle was bad (and behind the glass).

 

You're right, should have been CovCath ball where the kid stepped out.

 

Hopefully the Zapruder film surfaces soon. I'm guessing if it was in fact short, which I believe it was, Cooper will provide it quickly.

I hope it surfaces but I won't hold my breath. Sully doesn't seem like the type of guy to stir up anything after the fact and let something like that leak out. I hope I'm wrong though lol just to see the evidence.

Ruth always kind of "flops." Uses his body to draw and exagerate contact very well.

Don't you think if the ball didn't go in the Cooper players or coach would have argued more? The coach discussed it with the refs but that seemed to be it.

 

Having said that, it is impressive that (if the ball missed) they kept their composure and did not go ballistic. Class act.

Cooper did win the Twerking contest. Just saying!

 

We did have a celebrity in the house. He took my seat next to the Mrs when I went to sit with Mentsch, Marvin Jones from the Bengals was there. Apparently he really loved the game and has already tweeted he will see a couple more Cooper games before the season is over.

We were sitting right next to the CCH student section. I think it was Heppler who was throwing an ally oop to Schuh. Shuh was pushed under the backboard, the ball passed under the rim and hit the net giving the illusion that it went thru. The Cooper player took the ball out of the air, stepped back and inbounded the ball - apparently thinking it went through himself. The score keeper gave CCH 3 points after Cooper inbounded the ball, who then went down and hit a quick two. The game was then stopped while the referees conferred. They could have decided to take away both teams baskets, or leave both teams baskets. They chose the latter.

Two points in the game that I loved:

 

CovCath Crazies playing musical chairs to only have "The Captain" from Cooper to be found the last person sitting and both kids giving each other high fives and laughing about it.

 

The other was when the Crazies ragged on the Cooper band for leaving the game after half time and the Cooper kids ragged that you could have them, only to have the Crazies cheer we don't want them and the Cooper kids cheered, neither do we. I about laughed till I had tears coming out of my eyes. One of the funniest moments I have seen at a HS basketball game between two student bodies that were having a ball cheering on their classmates, friends and team!
