I believe he had to have inbounded it, I just didn't see it. Just a weird play. First time I've seen Ruthsatz shoot the jumper at the foul line. Interesting he's shooting FTS that way, but for most part looks like it's working.

I thought the exact same thing that the lob pass hit the net under the basket, but CovCath stat guys who were right behind the basket said it went in. Said the Cooper kid even took the ball inbound after that (I didn't think he did).

I was sitting right by the CCH student section on that p,ay and everyone there knew and said it didn't go in. It hit the bottom of the net and it looked like a alley oop that missed to us also.

 

They know it didn't go in, and originally the points weren't put up but one ref signaled 3 pointer and that was why the CCH bench complained because the score keeper didn't put the points up (which he shouldn't have)

 

I was just making sure we weren't imagining that. So 3 pointer was awarded to CCH and Cooper lost by 1. That makes it interesting doesn't it?

No. Cooper kid who caught it in the net thought it did and walked it out of bounds and inbounded it. Cooper got a quick bucket on the other end then the refs discussed it and left everything as is.

Great effort on the part of the Jags. Could have folded their cards early in this one. Shots weren't falling, early foul trouble and injuries to Zach on two different occasions that took him to the locker room both times. But he and the Jags stormed back in the second half and fought like crazy and really probably deserved to win the ball game. I don't believe in moral victories but Cooper should be proud of their performance tonight. John and Spencer, way to light it up. Zach, you are a warrior my man. Colin you are a beast inside. Sean, hang in there. This was a great environment for you tonight. It will only aid in getting you better prepared the a stretch run which I truly believe you guys have in you. Just to clarify, the shot didnt go out of bounds, the Cooper kid jumped, caught it in the bottom of the net, then stepped out of bounds to inbound it. I'm certain that is what led to everyone's confusion.

You could be right, I didn't pay much attention to that part, I was just amazed the ref called the shot good.

There should be three quite embarrased refs somewhere tonight.

I don't think you will get an argument from 99.9% of the people in the gym about the shot not going in. It clearly came up short, as RSkinner said it was a lob that missed the target player never got to and was an air ball.

Not sure what the stat guys saw lol, Sounds like they just don't want to admit that type of mistake made which could of decided the game but all the CCH fans I was sitting with knew it didn't go in.

 

Either way, it was one heck of a game.

Give credit to Sully and Cooper, that 2nd half was as pedestrian as CovCath has looked all season. The Dixie game will be a war and the game with top-ranked (Cincy) Moeller might be like pushing a boulder up the mountain.

Another highlight of the evening. Not only finally got to meet my neighbor Mentcsh and TOG but also got to see an old friend. Wichman's dad who I grew up with and went to school with. Haven't seen him in over 30 years. Was great to see him tonight and chat with for a short but. His boy is a scrapper, loved seeing him diving all over the floor.

Hellbird why don't you ask your Cooper official scorekeeper, who agreed the ball went in for three points, as that is who the stripes asked whether it was good or not.

I was just off the right side of the backboard and I thought it went in without doubt.
