Hellbird why don't you ask your Cooper official scorekeeper, who agreed the ball went in for three points, as that is who the stripes asked whether it was good or not.

I don't know if that is how it went down. If you remember after the shot, the ref gave the 3 point signal but the scorekeeper didn't put the points on the scoreboard and that is why the CCH bench complained and the play was stopped.

 

Points weren't put up until after the refs got together and told the scorekeeper to put them on. I may be wrong, I wasn't close enough to hear the conversation but if the scorekeeper thought it went in, why didn't he put the points up when the ref signaled a 3.

I don't know, it was just a weird thing I don't think I ever saw before.

Heppler's 3 point ball was intended as an oop to Schuh, but fell through the net and was a good basket. I understand but believe it would be difficult for the refs to mess that up. Looks like they got it right.

For the record, the score keeper does not decide if a basket is good or not. The ref made no signal, so they assumed the basket was good because Cooper inbound the ball. Shakey crew that just missed a call and a decision was made that proved costly according to the score. Either way, game is over CCH got the win. You never want to say a ref decides a game, but they sure can change one. At one point CCH was up 7 to 1 on foul count, game should have been put away there, but the jags kept battling and came up just short.

Either way, what a fun game!

Haha, sorry to disagree, but the ball did not go in. The refs got that one wrong.

 

I will leave it at this. I've never seen a basket made where so many people from both fan bases and neutral observers say it did not go in. I would find it very difficult for that many people to miss a basket.

Yea, that's what I thought and even joked with Mentsch he was fouled shooting. It's just one of those things that all CCH fans will say he wasn't shooting and every Cooper fan will say he was shooting lol.

Ball went in. That is why the Cooper kid grabbed it and stepped out of bounds. I was 3 feet from him. In fact I started yelling count the 3 and I never yell.
