Yes he did, couldn't stand that idiot. Everyonce in awhile he still pops up on the radio on a sports show and I have to turn it off. He makes me sick to my stomach.

Not more of a punk, but possibly equal. I don't think Sherman is a punk, but I do think he acted unprofessionally during that interview. It is a team game. Sherman is not a boxer, so I do not relate this to Ali. Boxing is a 1on1 sport. Sherman made the win about him, not the team.

In that last play, it was up to him, right? And he delivered. In that moment it was about him. And again...he's riding that emotional high...and you immediately want to interview him? Then you get what you get. I hate the sideline interviews. I hate when they stop coaches losing at half time on their way to the locker room and ask them what they have to do to turn the game around. I hate the question "what was going through your mind". In either case, I don't fault the interviewee for what flies out of their mouths. I mean really, aren't those the most inane, stupid questions?

I don't understand apologizing for something that you did wasn't wrong or needs no apology. Again, really the only thing he should MAYBE apologize for is the attention he took away from the team. Racism is real, even though we have come a long way. Same as homophobia. I really know the person means well when they say, I have plenty of black friends or gay friends or whoever is different from them. First sign they don't get it. We all have value and the other stuff should just not matter, but, unfortunately it still does even today.

Whether we like it or not or don't want to admit it race is a contributing factor in this episode and many more with professional athletes. With that being said i would also agree that not everyones reaction has to do with the race of the athlete. In my honest opinion racism in todays world is more subtle and used in more undertone ways. Which may lead to the perception that it is not as prevelant.

He is a grad of Stanford and working on his masters. He ain't no dummy, very smart and good in football. I see nothing wrong in what he did. I wish more had the fire he had.

I think the media got what they wanted. Sherman is a machine on the field with his actions and trash talking ( well documented). The interview occurred at a moment of high adrenaline. Im sure they expected something crazy and that's what they got. 15 minutes later he was much more subdued on the championship stage. The guy is a great player (that's all any of us truly know) who is extremely passionate. What I learned is what I already knew "The media will do anything to get controversy stirring"

While it's not life or death and is only a sport, it's life or death. The vast majority of all professional athletes would be normal human beings scrapping for every $1 they could. Luckily, they are blessed with freak like athleticism (black guy) and skill (white guy). For PP92
