Not sure who it is going after his teaching license but you are correct someone has it out for him. I gotta believe all the support Coach Murray is getting really don't sit well with someone or some people. No way this goes through. I would be shocked if he lost his license. For whatever reason they are trying to bury this guy and his family. This will not be over anytime soon and I hope Murray lands a job somewhere he is appreciated and respected for the time and passion he puts into molding these young lady's. This has given CCHS a black eye and the soap opera continues....I keep waiting to wake up from a bad dream. Coach Murray is an adult and can handle what they are throwing at him but what his daughters and the lady Camel team has endured this year is unfair and unjust. Will someone please shake me and wake me up from this horrible nightmare. :taz:

I'm pretty sure that only principals or board office personnell can contact the standards board regarding ethics violations. I don't see how a family of non educators can petition a loss of license.

I know it is a pipe dream. Maybe the individuals who need to lose their certificates are administrators big and small for allowing this to happen in the first place and indirectly allowing this to go on and on.

Haven't followed this thread closely but why is it such voodoo to post a parents' name if you know it. While it may be bush league to trash a HS kid on this board, the parents don't deserve the same protection. And BTW, the NCC QB's last name is the same as the Campbell County Attorney... Franzen.

Same tactics used in this case that were used to get rid of Scott Code. Step down as coach and we won't remove you as a teacher. Congrats on getting that name out but I hear it's more than one family causing the problems.

I really don't think a certificate can be pulled for anything that is not an ethics violation or the breaking of a teaching contract. Coach Murray cannot have his certificate revoked because of "Alleged" poor coaching decisions or playing time.

Have you read the entire thread? Its bigger than just playing time. There are some other "alledged" things that they are saying happened and have exploded WAAAAAYYYYY out of proportion because of the witch hunt. It you dig on any coach, you could find something. For example, I know many coaches that transport kids in their personal vehicle. Many times because that may end up being the only way the kid can get there. Technically, you're not supposed to do that. But in reality, you have to and you're actually trying to help the kids and families. So if you really wanted to take down a coach for breaking rules, you could find ways. Let me just say that all the events that I have heard (from very good sources) are as rediculous as the one I just decsribed. Will they be successful, I doubt it. But they are trying. In my opinion, it's because the administration has been embarrassed by their own acts and now are trying to finish the deal. I think they realize that if they don't try to go after his certificate, it confirms the reasons he was let go are rediculous. Now they are trying to send a message. If what they are saying he resigned for were true, then he should have been relieved of teaching duties that day. But guess what, he wasn't because it was a witch hunt to have him removed from coaching because this family didn't agree with his decisions. So it all stems from playing time, but thats not the reason he was let go. Anytime a male is coaching females, you can stretch the truth to make a case about any other them. Girls bccome comfortable with their coaches and have conversations in front of them that they wouldn't in front of any adult. Coaches can shut it down, but it always happens. They are teenage girls and they talk. You would not believe some of the things I hear just driving the school vans to games. You can stretch anything into what you want it to sound like. In this case, boy what a stretch!

 

Everyone out there knows by now what happened and what the reasons were. And guess what, EVERY parent I talk to is 100% in support of Coach Murray and are emabrrassed by the rediculous situation. The administration has one option to try and keep their name and that's to try to get his certificate in an attempt to be able to say "I told you so!" and "Don't mess with us". It's completely rediculous.
