January 4, 201412 yr I'm for most teams from Kentucky first when I see them play other sports. Big fan of WKU because they always had a guy or two whose career I'd followed while he was in Kentucky. Usually pull for SEC teams, regardless of the sport, whenever they are on. If I'm watching a bowl game, I'd just rather see the SEC team (which I can probably identify more players and staff from) win than a school like Ohio State, Clemson, etc. Since I've moved to Texas and become more familiar with their teams, I'll pull for them if they're playing a school like Nebraska. Never for Tennessee football whenever I see them on. Didn't mind Bruce Pearl, I was actually a fan of him. It's just kind of a hierarchy with me. The more familiar I am with a team, the more likely I'll be to be for them when they're on. There are, of course, exceptions to this.
January 4, 201412 yr Author So what is the point in this topic? SEC is still the best and no one is close. But hey by my eyeball test it might be a little worse than last year. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Is that everyone's point? Seems like a waste of 9 pages. Thread was started not as a defense of the SEC as much as a one stop thread to bash the SEC as every college football thread seemed to turn into a bash the SEC thread. This way all SEC basher's could come to one place and just flail away!
January 7, 201412 yr What's up with all the weird fan stuff? The stands are full of orange pom-poms. It's like everyone in the stands got stuck in 1957 after Auburn's championship that year. Whatever. Could be worse. Could be having to listen to Mississippi State's cowbells. At least they're not good and I never have to bother.
January 7, 201412 yr Hahahahaha SEC is 5-1 in bowls so far this year. Still the best in the land. Reading back through this thread was humorous Still laughing after 0-2 in BCS Bowls "SEC Fan"??? :lol2:
