Steelers could, but prob won't lose picks. Guess he will have to make another movie to pay it off..

That Cheshire Cat grin didn't help his cause any.

Agree with that amount. Totally uncalled for.

Seems like an acceptable solution. I can't see "draft picks".

Most of them don't even care, all a write off.

Take all their draft picks away...but that's just me 'cause I don't like the Steelers.

Speaking to the integrity of the game I believe the NFL needs to take away something like a 5th round choice. Not a killer to any team but it sends a very strong message.

I will say Tomlin's apology sounds genuine.

I think the draft pick threat was just a message sent by the league via the media that what Tomlin did was unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

I'm surprised that there wasn't as much talk about a suspension (a la Sean Payton) where both the coach and the team suffers. It wouldn't have had to be a full season, but what about the final four games?

Darren Rovell put on Twitter that this would be the equivalent of the average American being fined $688.

I agree. I'm all for an even stiffer penalty. Think about how you could change a game by doing something like this. If the league doesn't come down hard and set the precedent that it's not ok to do what Tomlin did (or even worse), there's a good chance it happens again.

Agree.

The Refs also blew it. They should have called a penalty on Tomlin and awarded the Ravens a TD.

I think everyone is overreacting a bit to this. He screwed up, apologized, and accepted full responsibility and blame.

If there's anyone to be outraged at, it isn't Tomlin, it's the idiots in the striped shirts that were too boneheaded to throw a dang penalty flag and give the Ravens the TD.

^ I agree the Refs should be disciplined too.

And for the record, the NFL disagrees with your take.
