Bowling Green Weather this weekend ... Decisions??

Friday. High of 35, 11 MPH wind out of the N, 90% chance of precipitation. Ugh.

Wow! That Friday weather stinks! No way they would move the games right. Only lightning.

That would be it. Both have to play in the conditions, but it has always been my position that bad weather benefits the lesser of the two teams.

Not looking good for Friday. 100% rain, freezing rain throughout entire day. Saturday will be cold, but dry. Any chance KHSAA makes adjustments?? Probably not, but freezing rain could be tricky

This is football. I will be shocked if anything changes. Winning a championship game 2-0 or 3-0 still gets you the same trophy and ring. Good luck to all teams this weekend!

I think he's talking about the roads getting there, not the game itself. Will it be postponed from fri/sat to sat/sun should the roads be icy. To me, it wouldn't be a bad thing as more people could likely make the games on sat and sun than they could fri and sat.

But it will cut down on the gate and travel will be dangerous.

That is a great question, MHSCardinal. What would the alternative plan be?

Would they find a way to squeeze in all the games on Saturday? Is Sunday an option?

Can you imagine the bitchy threads if they moved friday to saturday and saturday to sunday?

I don't think the KHSAA would move any of the games unless there is lightning or some other imminent danger to the participants.

For discussion, though, if they move Friday's games then why wouldn't they just move them to Sunday and leave Saturday's schedule alone? Why would they move 6 games when they could just move 3?

It might be a safety decision....and what's wrong with Saturday- Sunday?

Question: Can you still purchase tickets at the gate? Friday is looking questionable for me but I would still like to drive up on Saturday.

To me it is about the travel. You know how many game cancellations there are for basketball.

Not sure they'd want to start games at 11:00 on a sunday, because of church, but, who knows. You could still pretty easily have a 12:30, 3:30 and 6:30 games. 3 hrs is plenty of time between games, you may just have to cut back a little on the trophy presentations.

Thank you Rocks for sparing me! :D
