swamprat
USC to Ed Orgeron, "Thanks for the great job you did. Now, here's a swift kick to the nads. We would like you to stay on, too, though."
JokersWild24
Swift and unexpected. Reports were just breaking that they were going to interview him this morning. Looks like reports on Ed O and Del Rio were premature. Can't remember who, but last night, there were some different names being thrown around as well if I'm not mistaken. NKY Bandit
Per ESPN headlines. Great hire for USC if you're a fan. He brings back the hope of their recent glory days with Pete Carroll.
okie1
Great hire for USC if you're a fan. He brings back the hope of their recent glory days with Pete Carroll. So did Lane Kiffin!
SvFan4life
Horrible move for USC. He won't last 3 years there.
kypride
He is so much more of a people person than Kiffin. He is a better play-caller than Kiffin. He is bringing in the best DC in the western half of the US. If Orgeron stays he will have recruiting covered too. Not a grand slam name you wanted but he is going to be fine. From what I've heard, Count Dracula was more of a people person than Lane Kiffin.
LOOGY
This hire is very much like Gene Chizik at Auburn.
SvFan4life
What makes you think that? I don't think he's done anything at Washington to make people think he can handle USC. And if you can't handle USC they let you know it by letting you go.
Clyde
From the "Lane Kiffin Fired" thread: Sarkasian(sp?) from UW might be on the list. As my friend from Ft Thomas might say "just say'n."
MentschTrachtGottLacht
Horrible move for USC. He won't last 3 years there. Interesting take, not sure I'm with you. So I'm clear, you saying he flames out or blows up and moves on?
MentschTrachtGottLacht
This hire is very much like Gene Chizik at Auburn. Disagree, I think this is a very solid hire and I think he'll do a fabulous job.
