People forget he inherited a zero win team at U-Dub, a program in absolute shambles. Sark is perfect for USC, plus, he loves the place. The biggest challenge facing Sark, in my opinion, is working for an AD a mile over his head.

I hope you guys who say he is successful are correct .

Go back a few years when Sarkisian was at USC and Al Davis came sniffing. Sark turned Al down for an NFL gig because in his own words he was not ready. While Al was in town sniffing around he had talked to the little weasel Kiffin and was impressed, so he offered him the job.

 

Speaks volumes of the man's maturity, vision, and patience. Good choice.

I feel badly for those players at USC that are going to be playing for their 3rd head coach THIS SEASON when they take the field for their bowl game. Bonds continue to be formed and broken for them...hopefully Sark can keep them together and give them a sense of consistency heading into next season.

Can you really? That you'd bail on these players after bringing them together just 6 weeks (or so) ago, you're going to take your ball and go home before their bowl game? How hollow does that make everything he told them about coming together through the Kiffin debacle seem? I think this is an act of immaturity that I'm certain he'll come to regret when the emotion comes out of the situation.

 

Let me also add again that the whole way this season has gone down, as well as the flavor-of-the-day Enfield hiring, just goes to point out how over his skis Pat Haden is in that job.

I see both sides. Teams are going to start letting coaches go this week, so you have to move in right away and establish yourself as the coach for a team and get recruiting. It is easy from afar to talk about his lack of integrity when he could be compromising his own future by hanging around to coach for 30 more days.
