November 30, 201312 yr Normally I wouldn't post anything like this, but I felt it needed to be brought up. Last night after Newcath won. a player ran off the field and swung at an adult, trying to fight him, before being reatrained by a coach. I also overheard more than a handful of players directing "F-bombs" toward Newcath parents and fans as they were coming on to the field to congratulate their team. AS a coach or parent, what should be done in this situation? There were also several times on the sideline where players were taunting the Newcath student section with expletives and "hand gestures."
November 30, 201312 yr Certainly not to condone the behavior of the kids, but what exactly was the issue between the players and the fans, parents, student section. Just curious in light of the thread earlier this week about some kind of meeting between the NCC admin and parents.

I've never seen a player go out and take a swing at an adult at random. Something probably provoked it.

November 30, 201312 yr I was at the game but didn't see what happened as my son and I headed out right at the end of game and had stopped by the gate to talk to one of his college teammates and his parents that are from NCC. I'm not excusing any poor behavior by any players. However, incidents like this are why no one should be on the sideline or the field without credentials allowing them there until after the teams clear the field after the game. Too many emotions and raw nerves out of 17-18 year old kids who have just played their last game.
November 30, 201312 yr I just found out that the person that the Somerset player went after had previously been ejected from the field area for taunting the Somerset players. Instead of leaving he moved over near the ambulances and returned to the field area at the end of the game. So it does not appear that this was an innocent bystander. The 1st bolded I will leave to Walter, he was there on the sidelines. The only thing I can comment on is the following..........While #75 Kagen Skidmore from Somerset was "raising his arms" in front of the NewCath cheering section, I think it was harmless, the kid was "fired up". However, when you add in the Unsportsmanlike penalties he got into the mix I can see where some would find his "gestures" questionable.............I still think his "raising the arms" was harmless. Like Average Joe said, "Too many emotions and raw nerves out of 17-18 year old kids who have just played their last game".
