Chane just thought his ring had been taken to Mordor and destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom.

If every time a player got in any kind of trouble UofL kicked them out of school, you'd be blasting them for that too. :lol2:

There's been some good Lord of the Rings jokes floating around today.

@CardChronicle: "You must take the ring to the fires of Butchertown..."

@JeremyShoulta: "Not with 10,000 bird masks could you do this. It is folly."

I'm sorry, but that doesn't make sense. Something is capable of being stolen without the presence of a police report.

If you don't file a report that something is stolen and then only claim it was stolen to get you out of troube it just isn't very believable. If he filed a report prior to this story going public it helps his cause.

What you are saying is true, however, their story would be much more credible with a collaborating police report. Most if not all insurance companies will not honor a theft claim if the insured does not file a police report. Not contacting the police immediately after discovery of a theft is a major red flag and often indicates an attempt at insurance fraud.

Maybe what the family is claiming is true, most reasonalble people are going to report the theft to the police upon discovery.

I love stuff like this because I am thoroughly entertained. But I am also jealous because I didn't come up with any of it. :lol2:

But what if the family member stole it angle UKMF posted earlier is true? They didn't file a report because they didn't want a family member to get into trouble.

Or it wasn't immediately known that it was stolen.

Not true at all, I've consistently said these guys are embarrassing the city and everyone with a degree from UL.

There's a Maurice Clarett joke in there somewhere...

Tom Crean was probably like "hey, I thought I was the highest bidder..." #ringauction

We know how to cut our losses pun intended.. You all need to learn that lesson.

Tell that to Derrick Character....

After reading this article I still have the following thoughts. If a family member is so desperate that they resort to stealing property from other family members, why did they not take any of the grandmothers other jewelry items. Given that Chane has possession of all of his other UL rings, etc., why was this one particular ring taken to the grandmothers home for safekeeping. Why not the title ring as well, wouldn't it be more valuable?

While it is certainly possible that the family is telling the truth, there are still some things that should be looked into more closely, particular as to how the auction house got the ring and from who. That might answer some more questions.

Perhaps it is unfair that some including myself are not accepting the statement of the family at face value, the fact that Chane has been involved in other questionable actions, etc, definately warrants the speculation.
