FWIW Somerset hasn't beaten NewCath in this game since 1983...1983

 

NCC seems to be rolling the last few weeks and pretty much clicking on both sides of the ball

Somerset is like riding in a bumper car, you hit the gas and never know which way it's going to go

 

It will take Somerset's BEST game of the season to have a chance to win this one...Somerset can win, but they'll have to put all together.

Both have seemed to have their share of struggles this year at times. And neither has much margin for error. I expect a low scoring game and I think both are a little better on defense than they are on offense. I guess NCC being at home is a plus although Somerset sure has the Road mentality in the playoffs. I guess weather could be a factor too.

Game at NCC next week will put the Jumpers over 1,000 miles traveled round trip in the playoffs!

I think the Breds are headed back for WKU; should be close though.

The Breds are the favorite in this game. NCC is making their typical playoff run and it is going to take Somerset's best effort to beat them. Over the last 4 years NNC is 15-1 in the playoff and has 2 state championship trophies with a chance to add a 3rd this year. Their only loss was to eventual 2011 state champion Covington Holy Cross in a close game 24-21. You better bring your game if you plan on getting past the Thoroughbreds.

Somerset will be the best team NCC has played thus far in the playoffs, but, you have to wonder which Jumper team will show up. They've had quite the roller coaster ride this season. In the preseason, many people felt this may be the year Somerset gets over the hump and as up and down as they've been, here they are, nonetheless, so, not a big surprise really. I don't think NCC is quite as good as they've been in some other past years and there region was probably weaker as a whole than they've been, but, they've certainly been in a lot of big games before and know what it takes to win them. Both teams have played a really good non district schedule, so, they're battle tested . I give the edge to NCC mainly due to home field advantage and have been the better big game team over the years. I do expect a very close game. I'll say 21-14..

Yes they will have to play better but I also think NCC can't turn the ball over like they apparently did at Gallatin. Should be a great game!

I would love to meet up with other BGPers. I am going to have the wife take my daughter to basketball practice Friday evening so I can make it. Breds hold on to the ball and make kicks!!

Battle tested... Road Warriors... Somerset woke up and found their own after the Danville loss and has been closer to the team they was predicted to be in the pre-season... Healthiest they have been so far this season... NCC, as always, will be very disaplined and very we'll coached, but I feel these Briar Jumpers are on a mission to get to Bowling Green and will escape northern Kentucky with a win...
