He has resigned. Of course Musick says he didn't ask for any resignations and McPeek said he was asked to resign.

 

For the record I agree with a poster on another message board that said there are few innocent victims in this situation. Everyone in the area knows Fairview has been cheating including Fairview parents and players.

I'm not sure there are many innocents here, even among the players. Of all the people involved the players had to know there was something wrong with what was going on.

McPeek has went as far as to say that he didn't know the player was ineligible. Are you kidding? They act like this kid came from Mars when in fact he came from a neighboring school district.

I'm in this boat. Hard to imagine anybody that didn't know, especially within the program.

The ones that really lost in this are the opposing teams that lost to them. The senior who didn't get to play 'just one more game". The parents who saw their son lose a game they should have won. The team that didn't get a District title. The school that didn't get to back their team on a playoff run. The community that didn't get to follow their team during a great season. That's the ones who lost and can never be made whole no matter what the KHSAA does.

The Hazard or Pikeville kids who didn't get to play in the finals last year.

The total house should be cleaned , the Ad , entire staff , and the Sup . all fired . I'd even take a hard look at the actions of the school board .

He was a former all American lineman that played at Marshall University (Huntington WV) and was poised to be a first round draft choice until a back injury derailed him. He was unaware of the Ashland kid not being eligible, and I 100% believe him. Nate is very trusting and takes the high ground. He lives his Christian beliefs, and now chooses to take the high ground unlike the many many many many many false allegations of the linch mob.

 

I'm definitely not the official Fairview voice, not qualified at all really. I can only speak to my experiences and not others. I can say that many of the same linch mob who made false allegations about my family last year, are making some of the same accusations about others now. I guess that is what a message board is for, its just sad that some people unconnected might actually believe the fiction without knowing the facts.

 

I was asked about my residence, I own several houses in WV and currently do not own any in Kentucky. I'm looking to buy a farm near Morehead in the next few months (Investment). The Westwood residence I lived at (Not Musick Owned) was an apartment. I did enter into negotiations with the owner, but major foundation issues exceeded my investment risk.

Nice post. I know we have a great District rivalry and it fuels some fodder and debate but at the end of the day, we are all brothers. I hope only good comes out of this. Now, maybe all people involved can get back to focusing on football. No matter who knew what, the fact is rules were broken and Fairview has owned up to it. Now, let's all play hard and focus on football.

Well in all honesty, anyone who truly believes that the people in charge REALLY didn't know this kid wasn't eligible are walking around blind without a cane. They (people in charge) are now just using spin control to save some face.
