Name Your Peculiarities

It's that time again. For those that are newer to BGP we list off odd facts or things we do.

 

What got me thinking of this tonight is my hotel room. I travel a bit. When I'm in a hotel room for more than one night I never have the maids come in and clean my room. I can't stand for people to be in my hotel room with my stuff.

 

I've never seen Star Wars.

 

I've never seen Star Trek.

 

I sometimes stand on one leg while I'm urinating.

 

I've never tasted coffee.

 

That'll get us started.

Why would you ever stand on one leg urinating? I thought everyone sat down when they peed?

Even stranger considering I grew up in a house with parents who drank it all day every day no matter how hot it was (no A/C).

My right sock always has to go on first.

 

I always put my left shoe on first.

 

My phone always has to be on my person or within reach or I'll feel uncomfortable. (This one made basic training a pain.)

 

I can only fall asleep on my stomach. (There have been many nights where my exes would lay on my chest and I wouldn't sleep a wink since I was on my back.)

 

I feel uncomfortable if one side of the bed I'm sleeping in isn't against a wall. (I always sleep on the wall side.)

 

There are probably more but that's off the top of my head.

I cannot sleep at night in bed with even a flicker of light, but can nap anywhere in broad daylight.

 

I drink 2 cups of coffee when I get up and 2 before I go to bed. Every day! Now when I was in Italy, I had a really hard time finding it, but did after long searches.

 

I will do almost anything to not sit in traffic. If I can get off the exit, I will and find a way. I have driven 100 mikes out of my way to avoid it. If I can't get off an exit, well let's say I am not at my best.

 

I have panic attacks if I am running late, I absolutely have to be early.

That's hilarious. I've never seen Star Trek or Star Wars either. Never tasted coffee, don't like the smell. I do pee firmly planted on both foots though.

Never seen "The Simpsons", "South Park", "Family Guy", or "Survivor".

 

I eat the same thing at restaurants I frequent, never deviating.

 

I don't like Bacon, but I do like the smell of it being cooked.

 

Like Bengal Maniac, I'm obsessive about not being late. I always assume traffic, even in day-parts where there is almost certainly going to be none.

 

I'm not a clean freak, per se, but I am a neat freak. I want things stacked orderly, remotes laying straight, pillows in their spot, the bed made, cabinets closed, pen caps on, etc.

 

I don't let anyone, including my wife, drive my truck. It is 99% because I HATE when my rearview mirror gets touched / moved. Don't ask. When I valet I give them a big tip up front and ask them to keep it close...it is always sitting right outside the door when I get back out.

 

I'm sure there are thousands more.

I hate onions, but love onion rings.

 

Raisins by themselves are ok, bit I won't eat anything with raisins in it.

 

I get very anxious if I even Think I might be late. If I am going to meet a friend who is known to be always late, I am already mad at them before they are actually late.

I travel and don't let the maids clean my room either.

I usually call my brother or another of my good friends when going #2.

I put milk on cereal but just to wet the cereal and pour the milk off my spoon.

I hate sitting in restaraunts with my back to the door.

I prefer to sleep on the side of the bed closest to the doorway out of the room.
