Red velvet?

Great game to watch as the Birds battled back at the end of both halves. Two very evenly matched teams. Elder would manhandle all the other teams in NKY. The Birds turnover that was converted into a TD on the same play was the difference maker. Panthers had problems stopping Air Houlihan. I hope he is OK. That hurt when he was not able to play in the last series. I love the way NKY's superior team plays up-tempo offense that had Elder on its heels (or someone mysteriously laying on the ground)

Yes. Sacked, looked like he hurt his throwing shoulder. Hope it's not serious.

Game was one of runs. Elder looked great jumping out to 14 point lead. Highlands looked great scoring 14 straight to tie it at half. Elder looked great the first 5 minutes of the second half to go up 27-14. But then Highlands came back again.

The fumble in the endzone that gave Elder a TD really hurt Highlands.

Great effort by Highlands, sure they could have went undefeated by scrimmaging in KY every week but they wanted the challenge of taking on a very good program across the river. Elder is still Elder and playing at the Pit is more hostile than what 85% of all KY kids will ever play in.

 

Good effort Birds, make corrections win state.

Heck of a game. Ramsey made some huge plays to extend drives. Feggins had to have over 200 yards receiving and about 8 clutch catches. Fumbled hand off recovered in the end zone was play of the game. Great effort.

Okay, I know that the Elder players getting "injured" after a long pass play, or a turnover, probably had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of the game, but that kinda crap pisses me off! If your guys aren't in shape, or you want to stop the momentum, call a TO! GRRRR!!!
