Agree on the run game and also someone told that two guys were taking pictures for Highlands on that play right on the field and said that the ball hit the ground on that play. They had a picture of it.

 

Looked good to me..I saw the kids arms under the ball.. I guess it was my blue colored glasses...

The safety that didn't happen was set up by the touchback on the interception that wasn't called vs spotting it at the 1 yard line.

Two names the Panthers won't forget are Feggins and Wrobleski. Feggins at points carried the offense and TW made hits on 21 so hard I could feel the thud in my chest. Felt like refs kept the laundry off the field for the most part but was a little concerned how long they waited to blow the whistle all night as if they were allowing 21 to carry the pile or push the pile. The very pivotal play I think was the obvious sack by Hope having the QB wrapped up and not moving. They should have blew that play dead as a safety precaution and called the sack. Instead, they let it roll and he threw for a first down to keep winning drive going. Exciting game to watch.

I dont know if it was me or not but I saw 21 not show up at all in the 4th qtr. That kid is tough but he is not that tough...He was in a war tonite and he knows it...Highlands finally got to him but unfortuantely it was too late.

 

Probably felt like just another GCL game though...This is why the GCL is such a grueling league imo, to go week in and week out and take these type of beatings and still win is impressive to me...We will have guys that will not be able to move in the morning and Elder has to get ready for another one of these types of games and the Birds will rest up for the playoffs. Sounds like there was one hell of a game at the Pitt tonight. Hope Houliston is ok. The Birds will end their season undefeated in KY and 1-1 vs out of state opponents when all is said and done. I feel bad for whoever has to play the Birds next because it sounds like they could've played a couple more quarters tonight.b I'm sure Highlands earned some respect in Ohio tonight, hats off to them for taking the trip to the Pit and playing a tough game to the finish.

I was right there and I would have bet my life on it that he caught it as well but after the game i got the info.

Congrats to Highlands on the good showing at the Pit. Tough to beat the Panthers any year but doing it on Senior night is especially difficult.

 

Biggest question yet to be answered: How much was the split the pot worth? :thumb:
