NKY Coaches Poll Week 8

Featured Replies

Everybody keeps saying Dixie gave SK a game but everybody forgets SK was inside the 10 yard line with less than a minute and first down. They chose to down the ball and end the game instead of scoring again on Dixie. If they play again in the playoffs SK will beat Dixie by at least 21 points.

You said the same nonsense before the Dixie game. If SK did score with 1 min left and lets not forget, it took them 4 downs to get the 1st they needed to ice the game. They won by 5. If they had gotten the 7 on the last posession, they win by 12...not 21 or 40 or any other number you make up. Dixie made mistakes that SK capitalized on. You believe Dixie played as good as they can and fell short. In actuality Dixie at their best will be a challenge against Sk in the playoffs.SK has a good team, but believe me, they aren't perfect.

Dixie gave that game away, plain and simple.

Does your boss know your doing this on company time? :sssh: :lol2:

LOL. I always wonder if he gets any work done.

He might be on his lunch break, like me when I post in the afternoon, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

SK would beat Highlands. Highlands let Bryan Station score 44 points on them and they are not good at all.

Were you at the game? Highlands scored 55 points in the first half alone. Bryan Station scored most of their points in the second half when they left their 1's in against the JV kids and then onside kicked every time to attempt to get the ball back. After Bryan Station did this, Dale inserted the 1's again and scored on the first play to make it 62. Highlands could have scored all night if Dale chose to leave the 1's in the entire game. Another ignorant statement made without knowing the facts. As I told you before, tell your coach to step up to the plate and this can be settled on the field.

Tired of reading on here about SK getting no respect and it is because you get on here making your unfounded and ridiculous statements night after night. Highlands would defeat SK handily this year IMO, but we will never know will we? Just keep feeling proud and pounding your chest about that frosh game victory.

I would love to see SK or any other 6A team win a state title this year. Let the kids do their talking on the field rather.

SK has let their JV play in a bunch of games and usually only give up 1 touchdown. Highlands would get thumped by SK!

Can certainly see that when playing the schedule that SK plays. I am sure their JV could handle Holy Cross any day of the week.

NKY Football: Week 8

1. Highlands ( 11 )

137

2. Simon Kenton ( 3 )

129

3. Covington Catholic

104

4. Campbell County

5. Dixie Heights

79

6. Conner

71

7. Scott

8. South Oldham

9. Beechwood

10. Newport Catholic

Others: Lloyd 4, Ryle 4, Cooper 3, Walton-Verona 2, Holmes 1

SK had 2 votes two weeks ago, 1 vote last week, now 3 votes this week?!?!?!? I would have Beechwood and NewCath above Scott. I think Walton can make some playoff noise this year too

He might be on his lunch break' date=' like me when I post in the afternoon, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.[/quote']

I'm not buying it. I see him at lunch here and there.

Dixie gave that game away' date=' plain and simple.[/quote']

Hardly...

With the top spot at 137 and the second at 129, those two are not very far apart. If Highlands loses to Elder and SK wins this week, I would not be surprised if SK jumped to the one spot just by virtue of a little different voting. They would only have to close a 8 "point" gap. I AM NOT SAYING I WOULD AGREE WITH IT (God knows that argument has been hammered on here)...I am only saying that is how whacky these coaches polls can be sometimes...the order many times doesn't always follow what many people consider "logical". I know this...if that were to happen there would be some real entertainment on here next week.

Scott is 3 touchdowns better than Beechwood and NCC!

SK knocked them out of the playoffs last year. Actually I think SK has beat them every time they have played them.

yes and Scott. Co outscored Simon 103-15 last year....Highlands hung 60 on Scott Co....quit comparing. Simon is a solid team...congrats BUT not in the Big Boy league of the birds..lol...come over to the pit and watch some Big Boy Football.

Scott is 3 touchdowns better than Beechwood and NCC!

Are you trying to become Scott's version of uk#1fan?

Scott is 3 touchdowns better than Beechwood and NCC!

Is Scott better than Cov-Cath?
