October 21, 201313 yr Well another freakin 0 for me in the pick em contest. :lol2: Haha As for the game it certainly got interesting in that 4th quarter. To be honest with you the Broncos to an extent beat themselves tonight. Not trying to take anything away from what the Colts did but the Broncos really shot themselves in the foot a few times tonight.
October 21, 201313 yr I feel like this was the first time losing their LT came back to bite them. They couldn't protect the rush off the edge well and as great as Orange Julius is as a pass catcher, he's that bad as a blocker. The Colts bothered Manning all night.
October 21, 201313 yr Author I really don't think Peyton Manning trusts Demaryius Thomas, and I think he showed some frustration with Decker tonight as well. Ronnie Hillman is in the doghouse and it looks like Knowshon Moreno is going to be this team's back for the foreseeable future. Indianapolis had a good game plan, but also caught Denver on the road. If Hillman doesn't fumble or Denver's #99 doesn't get the stupid roughing the passer penalty on third down when the Colts were in their own endzone, we could have very well seen a different outcome. It will be interesting to see if more teams have success emulating what Dallas and Indianapolis have done. As the commentators mentioned tonight though, "there's only so many guys you can give help on". I do think that they let their DB's away with quite a bit of grabbing, holding, chicken fighting with the arms though. Another thing to consider is that Denver is in their first few games without All-Pro Tackle Ryan Clady. We may have seen the worst as the new unit begins to gel and the Broncos make adjustments, or we might have seen an unfortunate injury that has left the Broncos vulnerable.

Read this after I typed my comment, but agree. If anyone's hot start is going to be slowed, I see it being Thomas'.
October 21, 201313 yr For the life of me I don't understand why you have Ronnie Hillman running the ball in that situation. I don't know if that play was called from the sideline or if Manning audibled to it. He's the most likely to fumble and you have him running the ball in that situation. Baffles me. #99 Vickerson had several moronic penalties. Taking his helmet off twice and then that bump (Luck should get an academy award) but there was no need to even give Luck the chance. Manning seemed rattled. Seemed like he was taking more chances than he usually does. Maybe the DB's were just too physical with his receivers, but he just didn't seem like himself. I wondered if he got a little hurt on the Mathis sack which forced the fumble.
October 21, 201313 yr Only one person predicted this....I wonder who that could be??? Anyone? Good call.

October 21, 201313 yr Wonder what the Vegas odds were on the Kansas City Chiefs being the last unbeaten after Week 7?
October 21, 201313 yr Only one person predicted this....I wonder who that could be??? Anyone? Very good call. The Colts have definitely been the most impressive team in football. I know the Chiefs are undefeated. However the Colts have now beaten probably the top 3 super bowl favorites going into this season in San Fran, Seattle and now Denver. Very impressive.
October 21, 201313 yr I don't think that Manning played bad or even worse than Luck...Broncos 2 fumbles in the red zone, safety given up by O-line and stupid penalty cost the Broncos this game. In all honesty Colts should have won this game going away.
