October 21, 201313 yr I don't think that Manning played bad or even worse than Luck...Broncos 2 fumbles in the red zone, safety given up by O-line and stupid penalty cost the Broncos this game. In all honesty Colts should have won this game going away. Colts gave the Broncos the ball in the Red Zone too. Richardson doesn't cough that one up, and they most likely to win going away. Don't know how you can say the safety was the O-line's fault. Just like any other QB, Manning is responsible for holding on to the ball when he's hit. The poise of Luck is tremendous. He's the best young QB I can ever remember. I really think he's going to make the city of Indianapolis forget about #18 and sooner, rather than later.

He is really responsible for then even staying in Indy. Doesn't matter how good Luck is they will not forget Peyton.

Look at the Colts as a franchise when Manning took over and look at them when Luck took over. Two completely different states and it's not close.
October 21, 201313 yr I'm saying Luck will bring the franchise greater success than Manning every did. Because Peyton paved the way, putting Indy on the map, making Indy an NFL town. After all that, it's easy for any QB to move in and continue the success.

One Colt's miscue 2 or 3 by the Broncos, that's football...my point was that Manning didn't play bad and wasn't the reason they lost as much as many would like to pin the loss on him. Statistically he outplayed luck, but still got the L. I don't think he expected to get hit on a 2 step drop, left side ole'd the D line it seemed. Arm was in motion, hard to hold on in that situation. I love Luck, probably one of my top 5 favorite players in the league, and your right he's awesome and not having the sophomore slump of some of the recent one season wonders.
October 21, 201313 yr Peyton was filling the effect of losing Clady for the season at LT and I believe the starting RT for Denver was sidelined as well last night.
October 21, 201313 yr Loved the hit by the kicker but shouldn't that have been helmet to helmet? Refs were probably too shocked to call it.

You mean like Curtis Painter and Kerry Collins did? The Colts were awful two seasons ago, top to bottom, it wasn't like QB was the only issue. They've completely rebuilt the team. I'm saying Luck will win more than Manning did. Multiple SB rings.
October 21, 201313 yr Anyone else notice the drastic difference in the ball Manning was throwing after the hit from Mathis? Ball fluttered like a teenage girl's stomach at a Bieber concert.

October 21, 201313 yr Luck isn't even the Manning discussion yet. He has been impressive and I really, really like him, but he hasn't even played 25 games. Last night he was very good. He led his team to a win, that's good enough. Manning is the best QB I have ever seen.

He led his team to a win, that's good enough. Manning is the best QB I have ever seen. No one is saying anything close to Luck being as good as Manning. He's not....yet. I think he's got the talent and the makeup to be better. As to being the best ever, I agree if we're talking strictly regular season. He's below average in the postseason, and that has to factor in when we're talking all time greats.
October 21, 201313 yr He is really responsible for then even staying in Indy. Look at the Colts as a franchise when Manning took over and look at them when Luck took over. Two completely different states and it's not close. Exactly! Before Peyton, the only jerseys you ever saw in Fort Wayne, South Bend, and heck even "da region" was the ole orange and navy Bears jerseys. It was Peyton Manning's Colts that spread the blue and white to ALL of Indiana.

Peyton spread the the blue and white to ALL of Indiana. Which has zero to do with my point. Luck is going to win at a higher level than Peyton did there. Peyton made the franchise relevant. He gets a cookie for that. When a team makes the postseason as often as he did, especially when they were one of the top seeds the majority of those times, they need more than one ring to show for it.
