September 7, 201313 yr After watching the BRM "great 8" reunion last night,( and btw that was a thrill for this life long Reds fan), I was wondering who among this current Reds team is you favorite. List more than one if you want. Votto and Phillips are certainly two valuable players and I like watching them but my two favorite players on this team are 1. Jay Bruce and 2. Todd Frazier.

September 7, 201313 yr Number one is Arroyo. He is so fun to watch pitch. He is the only one on the team that I would consider a favorite. Chapman would probably be #2 but purely because of the entertainment value. Number 3 would be Phillips but his nonchalant play and effort at times irritates me. There really isn't anyone else I can think of that I would call a "favorite".

September 8, 201313 yr Author I can understand that. I just think that Frazier is a good leader, team mate. I watched an interview with him and as you would think and he no doubt is sick of hearing, the question was on his hitting slump/problems. His answer was that "I can't let myself even think about/worry about that kind of thing. I know that things will turn and I just concentrate, give all to help us win games in other ways, anyway I can and represent myself and the Reds in the best that I can". That was not word for word but does give the general tone, message. I realize that a player has to produce. I also believe that TF is valuble to this team in a lot of ways on and off the field.

Not sold on Frazier just yet. Arroyo is one of my favs as well. For both VoR and TAC - I really like watching Arroyo work/pitch as well. He can't over power anyone but works the strike zone, different speeds, pitches and even arm angles at times. Along with that he stays even tempered, shows no emotion. All of that has to drive a hItter nuts. (in other words, Arroyo is a "pitcher" (not one that just throws heat/slider, etc..).
September 8, 201313 yr I really like all six of the guys in the Reds rotation. Different animals each, but fun to watch. Top to bottom, is there a better rotation in baseball? I'll like the other 8 guys a lot more when they can, on semi-regular basis, get a bunt down, hit behind a runner, and stop running themselves out of innings. Hamilton has helped this team as much as any Sept. call up I can remember. I guess I'm a fan, even if he never takes a swing.
