September 8, 201313 yr Author Assuming we aren't talking "best" I go with Frazier. Agreed, TF is not having a great season. He started out on fire, really lit it up in April. Frazier, imo is one of those guys you need on a team. A great teammate and attitude, jmo a good 3rd baseman and I believe that he really helps this team in a lot of ways. TF is also showing signs of getting on a roll with the bat, I hope so anyway.
September 9, 201313 yr No love yet for Latos? I'm going with him and Phillips! Love Latos, i thought it was 3. I like every day players.
September 9, 201313 yr Trying to think like I would've as an 8-10 year old, I'd have to say... 1.) Arroyo - come on, with all those different delivery angles and types of pitches he throws...he'd definitely be one that I'd try to mimic! 2.) Phillips - defensively, all the various highlight plays we've seen him make. I'd be trying to make throws with my glove hand, or barehand others. Plus, the batting crouch and bat wiggle would be fun to duplicate too. 3.) Cueto - if for nothing else, it'd be for his Luis Tiant-type of delivery.
September 9, 201313 yr Favorite: Bruce, Latos, Mesoraco, LeCure Least favorite: Chapman, Bailey, Frazier, Heisey
September 9, 201313 yr My top 3 in no particular order are Hanigan, Latos and Choo. I know Hanigan has been struggling hitting but his defense and the way he calls games are masterful. Guy takes a beating behind the plate and handles the pitchers extremely well. Latos is just a work horse and I love his intensity. Not afraid to go after guys and challenge them. Choo has adapted well at the lead off spot and centerfield. Dude gets hit by a pitch about twice a week and just takes his base without saying a word and hasn't missed time for it. Getting plunked by a 96 mph fast ball twice a week and staying in the line up day after day...just a trooper.

September 9, 201313 yr I like the gamers, the guys who appreciate the game, and get pissed when they lose.
September 10, 201313 yr Because he's not any good. I'm sure you already knew this but Todd actually has a very solid 3.2 WAR which is good for 9th in the MLB at 3B. He also has turned himself into a good fielding 3B. Factor in the already mentioned clubhouse personality he brings and maybe Frazier isn't as bad as many think. While Billy has put the Reds in position to win those 2 games, it doesn't happen without the clutch hitting of Frazier. That is what I really like about the guy. He plays the game the right way, treats everyone he meets with respect and wants to win. He steps up in big spots (2 games I mentioned, Votto injury last year) and if you can't respect that or claim he isn't "any good" I suggest you take a closer look or be a little more patient. He is only in his second full season, not everyone is Mike Trout.
