Just got an email that Skyline Chili bailed on a commitment to the FTEF. They were to provide Skyline before and at halftime and the email came across that stated "unforeseen circumstances" as their reason for cancelling.

 

Looks like Snappy Tomato has stepped up to the plate and is providing all the food necessary.

I really don't know how ticket sales are going. Maybe someone else on the site can answer that for you. I've been told that season tickets will be honored. I hope they are, as I'm planning on it!

 

Atmosphere at the X game was electric. I too am hoping for a repeat of that atmosphere (and result too!).

Ok, so who really wins here between Tom Gamble and FTEF(Fort Thomas Education Foundation)? I would have to say Tom Gamble. He uses this venue to promote his org and in return he names it as part of the Skyline Crosstown games/gathering or whatever you want to call it.....:irked:So Skyline Chili was supposed to cater the Tailgate club which is comprised of about 100 families and then decided to pull the plug at the last moment is from I was told. The word I got was Tom Gamble neglected to provide the FTEF with his Skyline contact to get setup. Once the FTEF were able to get in contact with Skyline, they sent over a contract and wanted the FTEF to agree to pay $9 per person to eat their coneys. What!!!! So does Highlands and FTEF now charge back Skyline Chili for free Advertisement they are getting on a National stage.....:sssh: I'm thinking you won't see Tom Gamble anywhere close to Ft Thomas on Sat. He is probably still laughing at the fact that he just landed a free venue to promote his dog & pony show.....Now people often wonder why Tom Gamble and Dale Mueller don't get along! Old Smiley won't be smiling once he is briefed on the little "Angry Guy's" actions.....

I'd say take down any Skyline signage and disassociate with the whole bunch -- if that were possible at this point.
