Agreed about the students. Those boys are cowards. Regardless of training, you will never convince me that letting a kid get beat like that was the right thing to do.

Can you imagine the explosion against the driver if he had pulled out a bat or club and begin hitting the little punks...dude would have been fired and arrested if not for the cameras, and even with the cameras the fact that he had hit minors would have probably gotten him in trouble and possibly arrested.

Me too. I hope at that age I'd at least let them know I'd been there. Old guys are pretty crafty.

I'm shocked after reading 4 pages of this thread at all the outrage at the bus driver for not getting physically involved. Virtually the entire commentary is either chastising the driver for not kicking the 3 kids butts (or at least trying) or those defending the driver for doing what he was trained to do, and probably what was prudent in not attempting something he probably wasn't physically capable of doing.

 

Quick thought--How about outrage at the three punks who not only acted as thugs, but cowardly and unmanly ones at that?? Don't recall hearing many of those songs exploiting the manhood of three 15 year olds able to take down a single 13 year old trapped in a bus seat?? Typical reaction of the "You're not to blame" and "Give everyone a trophy" generation--Disgraceful IMO!!

My first thought was about the three 15 year old pieces of crap that so cowardly attacked a 13 year old, gang style, after cornering him in an undefinable position in a bus seat; and not whether or not a 64 year old, very unhealthy looking man interceded or not?? While I probably side with the bus driver's decision, I am dumb enough to probably have gotten involved, likely to my detriment.

 

My comment was really more on why the concentration of the discussion was on the "should he or should he not" regarding the involvement of the driver; rather than on the thuggery of the perpetrators???? Sorry to question the poor little fellows--Probably had their "honor" disrespected (or were unhappy to be turned in for drug dealing?)?? Might not have played in a "we all finished 8-8 league" as children??

The three idiot thugs were covered. Some of us would hunt them down and beat the crap out them. Some of us hope they get charged as adults and put away for the rest of their lives. I think the consensus is that they are sorry individuals who deserve all the rotten things in life to happen to them and only them. There's not much to discuss there.

Punks like these are actually intimidated by a male figure more often than not. If the guy had gotten up and screamed he could have rattled them possibly. There 15, not senior football players. I'm disappointed he did nothing, it looks like he thought about it but didn't, however, its not in everyone's DNA to do something. I'm not calling for his head or to be fired, its his choice to act as it is for all of us.

Oh yea, good interpitation. COME ON MAN! If you are in a job that supervises and takes care of kids, you can not just let them fight it out...if you stand and watch you can be held liable, take it as you want..... the guy watched for 4 minutes on the film would not be hard to justify at all. You always talk about your kid, what if that was him getting beat down and the adult was just chilling.
