The Reds season summed up in one swing.

That one hurt last night. I really thought Joey had it.

The #1 play on Sports Center. Since I left town (Friday night) the Reds are 1-3, maybe I should head back to the Bluegrass.

You bunch of sad sacks need to lighten up. Robinson had his best AB of the year there, knowing the situation and getting the game to Votto. Votto did his job, and you tip your cap to the guy who made the play. Outfreakinstanding play at that. But this team did what they needed to win. That's more than a positive. Pen was solid again, trying to get Homer off the hook.

I never seem to learn. Negative.

This year the Reds seem to be not having as much fun and enjoying the game like they did last year. Maybe its because its close to the All Star game and in the middle of the grind. But the energy in this ball club feels weirder this year. Even when you go to the games the stadium isnt as electric as last year. Now in saying that the Reds are only 4 back and still can take the division.

They better get their act together for the remaining two games of this series. The rest of the July schedule looks wicked - 4 in Atlanta, 3 at home with the Bucs, and a lengthy West Coast trip which includes seeing the "other" Cuban Missile for the first time. May be time for a "rest of July record" thread.

After thinking about how they have been playing, im not all that discouraged. The bullpen has seemed to come around, the starting pitching is still upper tier, Just need the bats to figure it out.
