June 28, 201313 yr He doesn't owe Simmons anything but Simmons is the only person who had he balls to say publicly what Doc did to the Celtics and Simmons was dead on with everything he said. If him being a fan of Boston gave him the balls to say publicly how Doc bailed on the Celtics then I am good with that. It was great and honest TV. And Doc being passive aggressive when asked how felt was awesome TV also. Doc looked more bent out of shape than Simmons. Completely agree. I agree with Simmons, Doc quit on the Celtics. How else can you see it?
June 28, 201313 yr DeShaun Thomas (Ohio State) goes 58th to the Spurs I don't see him making an impact for a lot of teams but I actually think this is the perfect fit for him. They can turn him into a solid NBA player even if he is a tweener.
June 28, 201313 yr Myck Kabango, BJ Young, and Trevor Mbakwe Wow those are just as surprising as anything. BJ Young definitely should have came back to school but I figured he would get drafted for sure.

June 28, 201313 yr Decourcy on Charlotte picking Zeller over Nerlens. NBA Draft 2013: Cody Zeller will contribute, but Bobcats miss chance for defensive wizard in Nerlens Noel - NBA - Sporting News
June 28, 201313 yr Yes Crean didn't get em past the sweet 16. I thought that last night. If you have 2 picks this high and you can't get them in further, that's a bigger slap on Crean and I think the guy can coach.
June 28, 201313 yr CJ Leslie has already been signed by the Knicks. Knew that wouldn't take very long at all.
June 29, 201313 yr If Michael Jordan drafts you, you should probably retire and save yourself the embarrassment. The list they showed last night was pathetic. Anyone could draft better than MJ. Our beloved MKG is probably doomed.

June 29, 201313 yr Let's be honest. MKG at #2 was another bad pick by MJ. IMO the MKG pick was much better than Zeller. The Zeller pick was horrible if you ask me.
June 29, 201313 yr Author Just got around to finishing the draft, DVR is my hero. Anyway, Simmons has been my favorite sports writer/podcaster for a long time. He is dead on the money with his Doc opinions, everyone knows it. If we can't be honest in journalism and television then we get a bunch of talking heads with nothing to add. Good job Bill, keep it up.
