June 29, 201313 yr Just got around to finishing the draft, DVR is my hero. Anyway, Simmons has been my favorite sports writer/podcaster for a long time. He is dead on the money with his Doc opinions, everyone knows it. If we can't be honest in journalism and television then we get a bunch of talking heads with nothing to add. Good job Bill, keep it up. Amen. If Simmons being a fan of Boston makes him more honest then I am all for it. I was so happy to see him not back down and backtrack after Doc called him an idiot. 99% of the other 'journalists' would have backtracked or even apologized.
June 29, 201313 yr Author I can't believe Grantland hasn't dug deeper into the Doc/Simmons beef. Any chance they have been muzzled by ESPN?

June 30, 201313 yr Author I wouldn't think they would have been since they are a separate entity. Are they truly? I mean they link directly from ESPN's front page still. I just can't imagine they have complete and true seperation, but I could be wrong.
