So are you saying that HHS should drop the 2014 Elder matchup between the 2 in Ft Thomas since HHS won't be as strong. That would be kind of picking and chooses wouldn't you say. I guess Dale needs to tell Univ Christian not to bother with coming back to Ft Thomas in 2014 as well. I guess that's what you are saying! Not that I don't agree to some sort, but that is what HHS will be facing in 2014 again. Who knows?

 

Lots of exclamation marks there. You know as well as I do, HHS schedules w/ their talent level and depth in mind. It makes sense. In '09 they have St. X on the schedule, in '10 they don't have any GCL schools on there. In '11, the schedule beefed up and stayed that way w/ a good crew from the class of '14. It should be like that when you don't have the enrollment like some of the opposition. Highlands plays good teams, they just don't play a ton of them every year, and some years they play none. You have 400 boys to choose from, the teams that Highlands must play "up" against to find better opposition have 1400. Not every class is going to be good enough to support a killer schedule. NewCath is in a similar boat against Highlands.

 

This isn't to say that you play a weak schedule, far from it. It just means that the marquis out of district game on a schedule becomes Scott Co. instead of Colerain. That's all.

No not at all. He was a stud but i was just being realistic that he wouldn't have been able to play both. Could he have, absolutely. Listen, I'm as big as fan as there was of Brady, but for some people to fantasize that he could of single handily beat HHS is amuzing. He would of made it interesting but HHS has played against and defeated more more gifted athletes. Carry on!

When I said WR or DB, I meant he would be one or the other. As for single handedly beating Highlands, I don't think anyone said that he could. In 2010, he was more of an additional weapon than the star. Kelly was the focal point of the offense.

Disagree with WR....would have been rb for sure. Lets be honest, if not for name (collinsworth) and money he's not at Notre dame, sorry. Hightchew was a much better high school player and not much difference at 5'9 compared to collinsworth at 5'11. For those that want to talk about height.

The difference is, the NCC ppl understand that most years HHS wins and wins big. HHS ppl can't grasp the idea that in fact, this little 2A school could play with them or beat them. I will say this, the NCC fans would win in a street fight over the HHS fans....book it

See, I watched him play as well. Not that many, but a few. Just thought he was way over rated. Not saying he wasn't a good player at all, very good high school football player. Just not major div 1 good. But, like most things in life, its not what you know, its who you know. Time will tell I guess.

All I can say is "WOW" This thread has come down to this? Who cares who could have played for who and who would win and by how many. The fact is these teams do not play and probably will not in the foreseeable future. What is nice to see is that both teams have had and will continue to have success in their respective classes and parents, coaches and alumni should be happy and proud of that. Many of these kids were, are and will still be friends when high school is over no matter what happens in any given year in any sport.

B. you want to suggest fighting among fans. You obviously don't remember when this was a real rivalry that this was a common occurrence. Never worked out real well for the Breds back then. To suggest that part of the rivalry be renewed is just outrageous.
