While I agree that the game was offered in 2010, Dale has been (and I assume will continue to be) very consistent in NOT playing in the Skyline and lining Tom Gamble's pockets. I believe that there is a thread about this from awhile ago but I am way too lazy to search for it.

Nah I think the one who is aggravated is you. You keep reading and hearing past NCC alumni who would rather not see their beloved program suffer through some long Friday nights against HHS. But that's okay, there once was this little choo choo that once said....I think I can-I think I can.....and that's awesome and very admirable to have coaching of that nature in order. I would say NCC's football program is in good hands that's for sure. I say good luck to the Breds in 2013. There is one team they won't have on their schedule and that's HHS.

Seems you may be blinded by your "godly aura" that HHS fans have. I have said and I agree with the fact, year in and year out this would not be much of a game. There have been a couple of teams here recently that would have made the HHS faithful sweat in the stands. As I'm sure there could have been a few times HHS could have beaten trinity, the same is true for NCC beating HHS.

Ok, now it's getting a little off topic... Freshman football isn't a really accurate judgement when we're talking varsity now.... Yes, the NCC freshman in 2008 lost to HHS 28-8, and it was 8-8 at the start of the 4th quarter, then HHS sealed the game when they made it (I think 20-8), a few injuries happened to NCC (Hightchew started to cramp, a starting lineman separated their shoulder, etc.), and the wheels fell off, HHS went on to score another TD with 1 minute left for the victory. But again, just because they stuck with them in freshman doesn't mean they can in varsity (aka Beechwood's freshman team.) I agree with mexitucky. I could have saw NCC compete and possibly beat HHS in 2005, 2007 or 2010. Aside from those years, I don't think there'd be much of a chance.

Honestly not sure about that. Just know HHS does not participate in that event.

The real question/issue here would be how does NCC determine what year(s) they would be competitive since they do not play on the JV level? If they determine that one year might be better than the year before or the year after, do they just try and sign a one year contract with the second year voided if NCC feels they cannot compete?

That is how it would have to be for either team to get a benefit from it. It would be how Highlands and St. X handled '09-'10

The way that that was worked out, is how NewCath/Highlands would need to be. Otherwise, like I said, it makes no sense.

Good point. I think what nky91 is saying we all know Highlands is a football power house every year and if they play Newcath they would beat them. There are some years Newcath can stay in game with Highlands but likely would lose. I love watching Highlands football. That said whens the last time Highlands beat NewCath in Basketball I have friends that kids go to Newcath they don't get on bluegrasspreps and talk like NewCath is the best basketball team on earth. Heck if Newcath wanted to they could of beat Highlands last year in regular season by 90. Lets just be happy that Highlands and Newcath are doing great things in sports and most importantly in school work.
