Highlands played a 2 year series with Beechwood. It was 30-0 at the end of the 1st qtr and Highlands started subbing. That series ended quickly.

 

I believe You are wrong about this. While BW had no chance of winning, the last time they played it was close at halftime. Beechwood had a lot of injuries and then the birds took control in the second half.

 

Edit, I may be thinking of the first game in the series at Beechwood. I do remember a pounding up in the Fort.

If your team isn't capable of at least competing with Highlands then there is no point in playing them.

This NewCath "homer" is right there with you Q, this game goes downhill for the Breds shortly after the kickoff. The Breds are simply NOT on the same playing field with the boys from the Fort, and there is nothing wrong with that. This series was once a really strong rivalry and the games were very competitive, but those days have past.

He came knocking in 12, NCC declined. I'll say this for dale, he's going to schedule who he thinks he can beat, nothing wrong with that at all. So NCC can't beat HHS in football on a regular basis, they beat the crap out of em in every other sport and still gets to put their football state championship rings on. HHS isn't winning hardware in any other sports. As good as your football program is, it's still 2nd fiddle to trinity. NCC is good in almost every sport, y is HHS so bad in every thing except football?

In 2010 we played Trinity to within a TD in Scrimmage of something like 56-49 in game like conditions and in 2011 I think HHS set the all time scoring record with a 56 plus point average. Sounds like NCC would of given HHS a pretty good test. Again what was Dale thinking? Sounds to me like Dale was dodging the Breds. Someone needs to talk to the man about this........

Yep, that has to be it.

Ncc cancelled the series after getting destroyed 66-0 or so by Highlands. They decided no more beatings for them. The beating outweighed the payday.

 

That was NewCath's worst team, maybe ever, vs. one of Highlands best ever. As I stated, there are years where this will not be a game, and there will be years where the games would be pretty interesting. '05 and '10 come to mind.

If you think your team is up for the challenge then bring it on. So let me ask you this, how many years would go by before NCC would realize that this is not a healthy matchup? Or are you basing a probable matchup on this past years Frosh game. Because if you are, then you need to get this done the next time you sit across from Wagner in a coaches meeting. Was tied 8-8 at half and was 20-8 late in the fourth. Was so close, dale got uncomfortable and was on the sidelines from the 2nd quarter on lol.
