I was listening to a talk by a retired Police Chief from Cincinnati and he said the large rise in violent crime 1990's may be explained by demographics. According to stats he has read, the population of 15-30 year olds was very large around the mid 90's. That demographic is generally the most violent age bracket. Once that large population started hitting their 30's, violent crime went down. He mentioned that another large demographic will enter that same age group soon so if there is any relation, violent crime could start going back up again.

Considering what the shelves at the gun stores looked like for about 6 months, kinda weird #s considering the #of semi autos and handguns out in circulation now.

It should drop even more with all the harsh lessons elementary school kids get from suspension due to guns, knives, pencils, pop tarts, paper, fingers, squirt guns,etc.

What has this administration done to lower it? They want them gone if at all possible and this administration has sold more guns then any ad campaign could ever do. If anything, they're responsible for more guns being out there than ever before, which is the reverse impact that they wanted to have.

Again, how did the administration cause it to lower? Maybe people are "howling" because the administration has tried to tell us just the opposite of what actually has happened.

It was a valid question directed at a claim that it lowered under this administration. Why does that concern you?

Of course most wouldn't. That would be counterproductive to this administrations agenda to rid the country of firearms, so the media keeps it under wraps.

All I know is the homicides in Cincy is way up so far this year.

I'm happy too, but lets be honest, it's not because of anything this administration has done.
