I don't think it's too tough to see some of the goofy legislation that has been proposed, you agree?

 

Thank you for the specifics. I don't remember seeing a copy of the administration proposed bill that would rid the country of firearms. I'd really like to see it.

Is that more of a function on prosecutors choosing not to press charges rather then there being no laws that could be used?

 

My guess is it is this. If I were a prosecutor, I would hate to have to press felony charges against a family who just lost a child but it pretty much has to be done.

I want laws similar to what are on the books for leaving a child unattended in a car. Shoot....there are even laws on the books for leaving a pet unattended in a hot car. There are laws on the books for negligence related to pets and children...people can have their children and pets removed from filthy conditions. But, you can irresponsibly own your gun, resulting in injury or death, and as is often reported, no charges are filed. Is it because there are no laws specifically related to owning a firearm responsibly? The police can't arrest, nor a prosecurtor prosecute if there are no laws broken.
