Favorite Cereal

Featured Replies

I saw a tweet a little bit ago that said cereal is an acceptable meal at all times of the day. I agree.

Looked for some old threads on this & didn't find anything, so what are some of BGP's favorite cereal brands?

I've got these two:

I have 3 Grits , oatmeal ,Special K but Grits is (are ) my hands down favorite .

I eat the most of Honey Bunches of Oates. I sprinkle in some dried craisins with it. I also love the following special K cereals: Granola (mix with raisins), Vanilla Almond (craisin mixture), and Cinnamon Pecan (craisin mixture).

I have also began eating Cheerios again of late.

My absolute favorite cereal, and it is not even close is Cracklin Oat Bran. However, it is so sugary I seldom eat it. In fact, for dinner on Easter Sunday I spoiled myself and bought a box so that I could have it for dinner that night. First time I had eaten COB in 7 or 8 years.

You know, I think they put more marshmallows in Lucky Charms now than they did 30 years ago. I don't mean different kinds just total count.

Don't really like cereal. I never buy it. My son never ate it either.

Don't buy much cereal anymore but when I did, I was a big fan of the Quaker Oatmeal Squares.

Honeynut Cheerios.

I don't eat a lot of cereal, typically. However I have several favorites:

Hot: oatmeal, Cream of Wheat and Grits

Cold: Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes

Other: LOVE granola mixed with yogurt and blackberries

Hot: Oatmeal w/ Brown Sugar

Cold (Unsweetened): Rice Crispies and Corn Flakes

Cold (Sweetened): Capt Crunch, Sugar Smacks, Cocoa Crispies

Wildcard: Honeynut Cheerios,

Cracklin Oat Bran. Lucky Charms and PB Cap'n Crunch are my favorites.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Captain Crunch (Almost any of them)

Fruity Pebbles

Cinnamon Life

Reese's Puffs

Back in the day, when I was a teenager and the Earth was cooling, I ate 4 bowls of cereal a day. One with breakfast, one as soon as I got home from school, one after supper and one before bedtime. Parents bought between 12 and 15 boxes per month.

My favorites were Captain Crunch, Sugar Smacks, Cocoa Crispies, etc. - all the really healthy stuff. I don't remember if they made Life back then but it's my favorite cold cereal now. I love oatmeal and Cream of Wheat as well.

Now I eat Mom's brand of frosted mini-wheats (along with the occasional bowl of Life). A reasonable combination of sugar (diabetes) and sodium (dietary restrictions due to Meniere's Disease) content.

Maybe I wouldn't be the broken-down husk of a man that I am now had I exercised a bit of cereal restraint during the halcyon days of youth.

I knew you had flaws. Bingo.

Love Count Chocula, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Fruity Pebbles. Not in any particular order. Tried some goofy Reese puffs deal, awful.
