What is the weakest and strongest regions in the state? What does everyone think about this?

11th region is the strongest, slightly better than the 7th.

 

15th region is the weakest, but just barely edging out the 14th.

The 11th is loaded, I'm not sure of the weakest.

I would have to say the teams in the Eastern part of the state are pretty weak since not one team from the 14th, 15th, or 16th region are even ranked anywhere near the top twenty five in the state. Now that's not to say we don't have some great players here in the mountains because we have some very talented individuals, but overall there is some very stiff competition in the other parts of the state and I don't see the 14, 15, or 16 region teams winning a game in the state tournament unless two of them draw one another. But I've been wrong before so who knows.

You could add the 13th region in there as well if not for South Laurel.

Obviously the Lexington(11) and Louisville Regions(6 and 7) are always tough. This year I would say those three are the toughest.

I agree but I'd say it's better than almost 50% of the regions...

:thumb: The best two teams at this point in the season are All"A" schools. South Floyd & Paintsville.IMO

Top 3 Regions:

 

1. Tie 7th & 11th Regions (7th is the deepest region with 7 or 8 teams competing for the Sweet 16, whereas 11th is more top-heavy)

3. 6th Region

 

Worst 3:

 

14. 8th Region

15. Tied 15th & 16th Regions

The 10th region is very tough year in an year out. The weakest is definetly the 15th.

I won't degrade another region, but the 10th, IMO, is the best in Ky.

Weakest - 15th,16th,14th

Strongest - 7th,6th, 10th and 11th.
