I think the 5th Region is stronger than the Cantrall Ratings indicate. With Bardstown winning the All-A and probably being only the third or fourth best team in that region, that the 5th can make a serious claim (this year at least) to being a nudge behind Louisville and Lexington for the strongest.

I'd say that the 9th is about has improved from about the 10th best region to the 5th best region in just 3 weeks. Just imagine if Scott and Simon Kenton had stuck around for one more year!

Agreed they are slowly dropping. But they would be a solid #7 or 8 team anywhere except Louisville.

15th is the weakest and 11th could be the strongest.

Agreed 14th is not very strong, BUT the Regional Tournament will be the most entertaining of the 16.Parity has arrived with any of the 8 teams ( I know, we don't know the eight teams yet) having an excellent chance of winning! That's how close the 14th is! :dancingpa

5th Region has 3 teams in the Top 10 in the State in this morning's Litkenhous, E-Town, JH and Bardstown. AP may be the same, but I haven't seen it.

The 15th is the weakest IMO bc the 14th has owned them. Now, that being said, the 14th is the second weakest. Sad fact of life. :( the 11th is pretty good.

Just curious where is Pendleton in the LIT rankings?

Now with the season being over, do you still think that your picks are right, and if not, how would you change them?

With the exception of Shelby County, the new 8th wasn't very strong this year.

With the exception of a couple of teams at the state tourney, Simon was as good or better than all of them. IMO you can throw every published ranking system out the window because they are nothing but garbage. For example the big two ranking systems had a team I'm really familar with ranked 7 pts below this other team they had beaten 3 out of four times and the loss coming on their floor in o.t. by 3. I'ts all opion biased anyway but I believe the eight at least near the top is very competitive.

The 16th is by far the toughest region. No question, hands down, its loaded.
