Uh... AI is one of the greatest basketball players of a generation. You might not like him, but to deny that he might be the quickest man with the ball who ever played? I'm sorry, to me disrespecting his skill is borderline disrespecting the game itself.

He reminds me of Scott Skiles when he was at Michigan State.

 

Skiles was hated by the rest of the Big 10. Bobby Knight refused to shake his hand on senior night. While in college, Skiles was arrested three times, once for marijuana and cocaine possession and twice for driving while intoxicated. He turned it around.

 

I wouldn't want my daughter to date Henderson but he sure makes watching a game interesting. (Can't think of another reason I would watch an Ole Miss game.)

 

If it is true that a fan was permitted to repeatedly scream that Henderson's sister was a (derogatory word for loose woman), the arena as a whole deserved the finger.

 

First, why wasn't the fan pointed out and dealt with if this occurred the whole game? Second, Henderson's got to take the high road here as difficult as it may be. Then when doing an aftergame interview, he needs to call the fans on it. Turn it around on them. He's got to know he is a lightening rod and people will do this stuff just about every time he's on the court to get him to react.

Where else would he go? He only has one year of eligibility left and he has no shot at the league...

 

He had made comments recently tht seemed to imply he was leaving to get paid to play. Just because we know he won't get drafted doesn't mean he doesn't know it.

The comparison I made was more based on build and the way they play the game... Shooting alot, slashing, etc.

By no means will Henderson ever be on AI's level basketball wise.

The Marshall Henderson story will either be a great triumph or a story with a really bad ending. Would a future prison sentence surprise anyone? Not saying it in a bad way I really feel sorry for the guy.

Marshall has become the villan and there hasn't been too many college athletes more willing to accept the black hat. Henderson is the classic heel in wrestling and the fact so many of you despise him proves he is doing a good job at it.

Exactly, he's not the first guy to party and make bad decisions in college. I was bad enough as it was, I couldn't imagine being at the big state school and being the star basketball player. Good grief I could have gotten into some trouble. Not saying he will never get in trouble in the future and that he is a saint, but I don't think he's this serial criminal everyone thinks he is. Just because you act a certain way on the court doesn't mean your going to go out and rob banks or start a drug distribution enterprise.

Wondered about that myself, especially when the Maurice Clarett comparison came up. Henderson may be a jerk, but as far as I know he's not beating up his girlfriend.
