I have tried to be clear that I don't really care if Clyde is right or not ...

My point is ... there are usually at least two sides of the truth (probably more) ...

Right/wrong/indifferent ... at the very least ... I am not willing to make the jump on either side.

Anyone can make up a story now-a-days ... and say it is true ... even if it is not.

 

I also understand that this may look like I am not in support of Michael.

Michael is a great man and a great coach.

When I came to Beechwood ... Michael is one of three people who went out of their way to make me feel like I belonged.

That is something that I will never forget.

My thoughts on this topic have NOTHING to do with Michael ... it has everything to do with the way Clyde seems to think that he is judge, jury and executioner.

What if Miller was told of this decision before Beechwood started making calls? Do we know when Miller was told? Just because we found out about this today doesn't mean Miller didn't know about it before today. Maybe they didn't announce it publicly because they wanted Miller to have the chance to tell the players in person. I am just asking questions. I don't know the answers. But if Miller was told a week or two ago, or before whenever the call Clyde is referring to occurred, it ends this discussion. I am sure there is a poster or two on here that can answer my questions.

Again, I'll wait for the rumors and hearsay and where I've been wrong.

 

Why would the candidate lie? Why would he lie BEFORE it's even known by the masses that there's an opening? Did he just get lucky with his lie?

I have no clue who the candidate is ... but I do know this ... I have seen more than a few coaches who say that they have been contacted from another school ... to give them some leverage with their current situation.

The only way it can't be "fact" is if the candidate lied and no phone call took place and no interview is going to take place.

It is not that unusual for ADs or school reps to start putting out feelers in advance of a coach being terminated to determine interest from "target" individuals.

I don't care for Bulleit. I drink Benchmark exclusively these days. It is cheap cheap cheap but it tastes the best to me.

I don't see anything wrong with putting out feelers for coaches before you make a decision on whether you want a new coach or not. Did Miller deserve to be let go? It doesn't seem like it but things like this happen in life. Was it the right decision? We'll find out when the feelers are answered and the new coach takes over.
