March 11, 201313 yr The Concerts You've Been To thread got be thinking about concerts I regretted missing or went to. I regret not seeing: Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd more than once. The Who The Rolling Stones The Kinks Thin Lizzy The Talking Heads The Cars Chicago (in the earlier days) Regrets of concerts I've seen: Only Foreigner and only because I over indulged and got sick halfway through. :wtf: You?
March 11, 201313 yr Had tickets to go see Blue Oyster Cult back in '85 I believe it was when stationed at Ft. Ord just outside of Monteray, CA. Something came up and I backed out and didn't go. Always wished I had gone to that. Also regreted (don't laugh) not going to see the Bangles when they where at a local club in Monteray...not because of their music, but man their lead singer (Susanna Hoffs) was a baby doll! Had a big crush on her at the time.
March 11, 201313 yr Would've loved to have seen The Boss back in the day. Every one of my friends that went to see him said his show was the best.
March 11, 201313 yr Springsteen in the late 70's. Eagles in the late 70's. Led Zeppelin Chicago with Terry Kath The Rolling Stones Will be going to see Eric Clapton in Charlotte on April 2nd so I can cross that one off my "bucket list."
March 11, 201313 yr I've always liked Springsteen but have never been a "nut" over him. I do wish I had checked out a show though for the experience. I had really good seats to McCartney last year at GABP and got rid of the tickets. Wish I hadn't.
March 11, 201313 yr I passed on seeing Bruce Springsteen and Garth Brooks. I would have liked to have seen the Beastie Boys too I do wish I was old even to have seen groups like Zeppelin, Pink Floyd (not just Waters, Mason, and Wright), Procol Harum, and Cream
March 11, 201313 yr Had tickets through a friend for the VH Diver Down tour, I believe. EVH broke his thumb, cancelled shows. One of the disappointments was U2 on the War tour, w/Marshall Crenshaw and the Alarm. Summer concert, no AC, left early. Never saw them again.
March 11, 201313 yr Elvis Presley came to Cincinnati the summer before he died. The tickets something like $50.00 which was unheard of in that day. I decided I couldn't afford it and would wait til next time. Still can't forgive myself for that one.
March 11, 201313 yr Would've loved to have seen The Boss back in the day. Every one of my friends that went to see him said his show was the best. He still puts on a hell of a show.
March 11, 201313 yr Reginald Dwight. Let's see who the music fans are! That's probably mine too, but heard Elton may be coming somewhere near here over the summer (maybe Dayton). Also blew it by not seeing the New Barbarians back in the day.....look them up...comprised of some of my favs.

March 12, 201313 yr Would've loved to have seen The Boss back in the day. Every one of my friends that went to see him said his show was the best. The absolute best show i've ever seen. I was in the military at the time I saw him when he went on tour for the Born in the USA tour. I liked him, loved Born to Run album but never had a real interest to see him. My rooommate owed me money and he had an extra ticket and asked if I'd take the extrra ticket and call it even. I said yes. Saw him at Arizona State University and was by far the best concert ever!!! He starteed the show around 8pm, his stories during the concert were incredible and he stopped around 10:00 -10:30 so we thought, he came out for his 2nd encore which wwas led off by Santa Claus is coming to town and after that song he said "You all have been watching us all night long, now it's our turn to watch you all, turn up the houselights!" The lights went on and he broke into a 50's jam and played 50's and 60's songs non stop for another hour while everyone was dancing in the aisles and their seats. We walked out of that place near midnight. It was by far the best show I've ever seen and no other concert has ever come close.
March 12, 201313 yr I regret the gallon of strawberry hills wine I drank and ended up in the bathroom stall at bogarts and missed a whole concert.
March 12, 201313 yr Author I regret the gallon of strawberry hills wine I drank and ended up in the bathroom stall at bogarts and missed a whole concert.Kind of what happened to me with Foreigner, only it was a fifth of MD 20/20 and around 9 of the "little" Miller beers. Didn't mix well, especially as quick as I put them down. BIG mistake. Lessons in life....
